I had a great time with Torchlight 1, so looking forward to this. I can take or leave the multiplayer, so hopefully the game will still hold up as a fun single player experience. I really liked the sheer variety of environments they managed to cram into what was essentially one big cave.

Yeah, overworld, and most important, they're going to incorporate random events into the overworld too, it'll be interesting.
But still, multiplayer in torchlight 2 will be fully moddable aswell!
My heart throbs for developers willingness to release editors and tools.

Yep, in a way, but a more complex look at it; torchlight is an iteration of Mythos, which is an iteration of diablo.
Mythos was supposedly really good stuff, but died along with hellgate london.
