I was looking at the IMDB boards at Stephen Russell's new film Chatham.(Anyone seen it?)
And came across this, trailer for TDS which I had not seen before it said it was only uploaded on 04/10/2008
Which to me is strange after being released 4Years ago!,unless they are bringing Thief alive again. :idea:
Nice trailer/ advert just the same though. I had not seen it before.

I think I saw that a-way back when. I remember the rustmonkey cutscenes in the trailer which were not in the game (Garrett using a guy with an arrow as him as a stepping stone) and thinking they were even more awful than the ones used in the game.

I can see why they didn´t want the "super-murder" scenes in the game. But it is surely a funny and cool trailer anyway.

It's like some kind of remix, or something. I've seen pieces and parts, and the rest of it is new to me. How'd the uploader get ahold of it, I wonder? It had better not have been posted in connection (fan or other) with Eidos Montreal's "T" game. April 10th, 2008, huh?

Garrett kills enough people in all the old video clips, so I don't think this is exceptional.

Wanna do a body count comparison? And the Garrett arrogance is cranked up.

In this single 2-minute TDS trailer, there are 13 acts of violence, all but one against humans, and mostly showing the various methods to take the AI out. Much of it is unstealthy. This trailer's a bit more available to more people than the promotional videos for the previous titles, isn't it? That's not to say more people will see it.

All right, I re-downloaded the 5-minute TDP trailer. Starting with a blackjack to Dan Thron's sillhouetted skull, followed by another's brutal death by fire arrow (with a painfully delayed detonation), there are 17 moments of violence against persons and creatures. The count includes Garrett getting his ass handed to him a few times, attacks against a zombie, a Hammer Haunt, a crayman, and a spider are counted among the 17, and stealth is much more emphasised between melee clips.

I haven't checked YouTube to see if all the other videos for the other games are up. And unfortunately, showing what a player can do isn't often what the player should do for best results, but only a taffer would know that when Thief games are involved.

There are quite a few trailers for TDS on you tube, even the end scenes of the game.
Also there were a couple of trailers of in the cradle.
There was a fair amount of Violence and not stealth as you said, on the trailer.
It was the date of it at first, there is an amount of the same as the others I had looked over though I thought this one quite well done. Most of those were what the fans had posted
