You don't need to change brush textures at all! All what you need is to change window model (S&R effect). In default mode your windows is transparent with sky textured brush behind it (as you did already). When triggered, change window's model to non-trasparent with yellow curtain painted right on it. The sky brush becomes invisible.

To be honest, have you done much testing with the sky there and walked around while looking at it? I did this before but I abandoned it myself because the sky texture will show you things you shouldn't be able to see, like through walls. It has that no clipping effect where the the render priority goes all wonky.

Notice in my video you can see the top right of the roof showing through.
Edit: While I never picked it back up with other methods, I am most likely just going to use mtl reflection FX with a png that is sky like for NSW and a moon one for E.

FWIW, when doing this in DCE I'm not using sky behind it, I'm applying a reflection texture via .mtl file like some of the EP2 dark window textures do (or used to do, NV may have removed the effect), like gamophyte.
