Honeymoon returned and my husband feels like a teenager again with (http://acidinks.com) cialis 40mg pills. His erection is the same as at our first date 30 years ago. He feels like a man again, his penis is hard with a big head so he can be proud of it again. (http://dutasteridegeneric.com/) order dutasteride really helps.

Ooh damn I wanted one too :( but you gifted me that Thief, so its your turn to snatch a freebie!
I'd say you got a better deal anyway. A beta key to a F2P game is really just an early access pass to what was always planned as free content; hardly can be considered a "glorified MP demo" like how many betas for retail MP games are these days.
It should be pretty easy to get a Tribes Ascend key anyway. They were literally handing them out to every man and his dog on FB up to around late Jan. Just sign up on the official website and they'll likely email you one.
EDIT: Looks like they're still handing them out by the truckload on FB.

I got a beta key, but the game isn't working. The mouse isn't visible in the menus, and I get an instant crash trying to enter a level (online or training).

Well it's working for me and I like it so far.
Both horsearmorfags and poorfags have access to same unlocks, which is great and as it should be. Of course poorfags will need considerably more time to actually reach them - for example after playing Team Deathmatch for about four hours I have 11,000XP; to unlock Spinfusor on the Soldier class I need 42,000 - and then there's secondary weapon, belt items, pack items, two perks, and almost everything can be upgraded. And there are classes to unlock too.
Personally I don't mind, unlocking everything in BF2142 also required a lot of time so I'm used to it and I see it as a sort of RPG-like progress.
Of course buying unlocks is super easy, as same Spinfusor costs 240 Gold Points I believe, and you buy them in bundles of at least 1000. Plus buying them once grants you VIP status which means permanent 50% more XP gained, which is something even I could roll with.
As for map sizes, it's hard to tell since going at 100+km/h is the norm, but I've seen sniper kill records in ~14 kilometers range.
What else? The graphic options are "low, medium, high, very high" but there are proper resolutions and adjustable FOV. I have no problems finding servers and players. Blood Eagle logo looks like a giant penis.

I've had a lot of fun with it, the unlocks system feels balanced (meaning, I never feel like I died because my skills were too low) and it really doesn't feel like people who pay have an advantage. I went ahead and bought some gold to support the devs (and get the handy +50% XP bonus), and used it to buy myself a grenade launcher for the Technician class. There's a lot of customization to be had and the gameplay itself has a surprising level of depth. Maybe not the same skill ceiling as the old games, but it definitely takes a while to master the system.

Well, one thing that I was afraid of happened right after I wrote my post. I went on a server which was populated with what seemed like Tribes veterans.
And, of course, they're all Pathfinders, the fastest class(you can't escape) with most air time(so he'll be hovering like a leaf while you run out of juice and have to land) with Spinfusors(when you're on the ground, you get a disc in the face, guaranteed; see above as to why you are).
There is no autobalance in the game, so if several of them gets on one team it ends up with rape.
This is one of the reasons why I never tried MP in original Tribes, anyone playing them is a crazy veteran who can juggle you with spinfusor in mid-air or snipe you with a mortar from half a map away. Tribes was always a hard game to master, so if all these people move to Ascend it will create a vertical cliff of difficulty that will be nigh impossible to overcome for most people new to the game.

So while installing it asked me if I gave it permission to install some "prerequisites" and a little puzzled I clicked "ok." This is what I saw next:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/Koobazaur/tribes_hall.jpgUh oh... (
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v474/Koobazaur/space_oddyssey_hall.jpg) Looks Familiar? I think I made a huge mistake.
Jokes aside, I played a few CTFs and... I like it. It *feels* like tribes. The weight, skating, and vertical action is all there. I like the new laser gun and being able to call in airstrikes or ammo drops. The maps are decently big as welll though I dont like that it blocks you as you get to the edge. And I like the map design sofar (the roman-like buildings on one map with aqueducts and stuff, and the two giant floating bases in another). A few gripes
* The model LOD pop-in is really annoying
* I think shadows are messed up / Loded away, which makes it really hard to judge enemy height. Especially on that one map that has all psychodelic colors; I might just drop the graphics settings down to see if it improves.
* I barely saw any vehicle use. Either people are still learning, or the credit system needs pricing down. I was only able to spawn maybe 2 shrieks during a 20 minute game. (but then again 2x 10 players = 20, so thats not too bad).
* Speaking of vehicles, I hate the "burst" fire mode on some and no ability to reload. Also Shriek is a bitch to pilot and I keep crashing / getting killed without even killing a single person or damaging a single enemy base item. Poop.
* I feel the unlocks are gonna be kind of a pain, since everything and their grandmother can be upgraded and each class has a separate list of upgrades (no shared weapons or packs, only perks). And it does seem like getting "maxed out" will take a long long time
* Another gripe, I am not sure how much the upgrades will affect balance; one of the things about Tribes was that when you saw an enemy you always knew what you were against, but here, its hard to tell. Tho the upgrades dont seem that substential.
* Wish Melee did more damage or was insta-kill, it takes lots of effort to pull it off and in CQB its no match for shotty or even spinsufour
* While the maps feel as big as T2, they feel a little.. lower. Like, mountains are as tall. But maybe its just my first impressions.
And Koki, I think the skill-balancing will come with time. Notice there are "ranked servers" and "Veteran servers" locked in the main menu.

Turns out today's patch is supposed to cut XP weapon prices(I fucking hope so, unlocking Spinfusor on the Infiltrator costs ONE HUDRED SEVENTY THOUSAND XP) and introduce autobalance.
As for the weapon loadouts, did you really expect what to face in previous games? Because on the forums everyone is bitching about the classes in Ascend, and wants free customization "like in Tribes 2". So were there classes or what?
catbarf on 9/2/2012 at 15:06
My biggest gripe is that visually it's hard to tell light classes and medium classes apart. Otherwise you more or less know what you're up against once they shoot.
