frozenbyte forum, 1st review by a fan and self-proclaimed puzzle/platform gaming lover: 5 - 6 hours on medium without much grinding for hidden stuff. I'm not so good at jumping/timing, playing it at medium and taking my time, so we'll see how long it will take me. will update for sure in the future.

I've probably got a good 3 1/2 hours clocked in, and I'm only now at the 7th stage. I'm taking my time with it, exploring every nook and cranny for all those green experience bottles and treasures.
My opinion so far: grand. It's too early to say yet, but so far, I like it slightly better than even BCR.

If nothing else, Trine sure is charming..I'll give it that much. The avatars are particularly outstanding IMO, especially the fighter.

Right, good to see that people are getting their 30 euro/$30 USD worth. *snicker*

4 1/2 hours in on hard. I'm at the 10th stage, got the secrets for 5 stages (6 if you count the Astral Academy), and still 5 levels to go. I have a feeling that after I've done it all and found it all, I'll have about 8 or so hours invested.
That makes Trine longer than both Max Payne 1 & 2, two games I paid a full 50 for when they came out. Still, I think it would've been better priced at $20...which is what I think the PSN people are gonna be getting it for.

Picked this up today. Does anyone else have major graphics issues?
I'm grabbing the latest nvidia drivers to see if that helps...

For some reason I thought this game looked meh before, but having looked at a video recently I'm much more excited about it. I think I'll get it for PSN when it comes on that, however, as that would be a more practical platform for a local co-op game.

Do you get any new powers in this game, or are you stuck with what you had in the demo and that's it?
Cause 3 guys, each with 1 interesting ability, 8 hours and typical low indie production values is not a $30 game.
It kind of looks to me like it's an overpriced indie game figuring they'll get away with it just because they're indie, which is bullshit.

Typical low indie production values? Trine has some of the most creative 3D/2D work I've seen in a good little bit. the animation is great, the levels are inspired, the polygon work is excellent, and the music is nice and moody (if not a little forgettable). Don't know where you're getting low production values from.
To answer your question: no. Each character gets 3 abilities that can be upgraded and at least one new weapon through the course of the game.
