Apologies if this has probably come up before, which it most likely has, but the search function doesn't appear to want to be co-operative so I'll have to ask. I download the Thief 2 Demo a few days back after completing the full game just to have a look at it but I can't get it to work. Whenever I try to start the level the screen stays black and the programme crashes.

Now since this is just the same as how Thief Gold and Thief 2 acted I figured it wouldn't be a problem. Opened up the USER.CFG file thinking all I'd have to do was delete the ; from the line ;safe_texture_manager and it'd be fine when I ran into a problem, no ;safe_texture_manager line in the file. All there were are the two lines 'play' and 'no_network'. So how do I get it to work? :confused:
