Only in your wildest dreams. Sure, some people will be "celebrating" by posting stupid things on the internet to get a reaction, but any decent human being will find yesterday's events just depressing, even if Charlie Kirk was a thoroughly nasty person with some disgusting opinions.
I think he just needed educating on a few things, like abortion and George Floyd's cause of death. He always sounded uninformed about them. I don't think he was a nasty person.

Sure, sure if I go a little to the far right I'm a nasty person too?
Just a teeny-weeny little bit to the far right, huh? Well... that
does usually make you a nasty piece of work in my eyes.
Obviously I have no idea what Charlie Kirk was like in person, I only ever saw some of his "debates" that appeared on my social media feed. For all I know he could have been the nicest guy in private and the best dad ever, but I highly doubt that based on some of the things that he said. Sure, he probably exaggerated some of his takes to get more views, which goes with the influencer business I suppose, but I was often put off by the way he behaved in his videos. And of course I strongly disagreed with probably all of his "controversial" takes too.
Did Charlie Kirk deserve to be shot? Am I happy that he's dead? Hell, no.

I strongly disagreed with many of his views (in fact I only agreed with him on biological sex and reparations I think) but he always seemed like he was up for honest debate. I'd gladly have had him as a dinner guest.

It's interesting when these divisive scenarios come up. It's still hard for me to believe how many people actually support what Luigi Mangione did. To me he's just a cold blooded murderer, but he has a following and is treated like a hero by some, and people even send money to help his defense fund knowing full well what he did. Truly disgusting.

Case by case basis.
The guy Luigi killed headed a predatory health insurance company that makes money on the misery of millions, and thrives on denying health claims. I'm not sorry he's gone
Offing someone over their personal views is a whole different story though

I don't think there's any justification for murder. If you don't like the American healthcare system, change it. Elect politicians who will change it. We're supposed to change things through the ballot box, not at the end of a rifle. Health insurance isn't just going to cease to exist because one CEO got killed.

Yes, that's my point. Where does it end? What other corporation's CEOS should we murder? McDonalds? Jack Daniels? Dow? Violence is not the answer, and it's not the way civilized societies are supposed to behave.

It ends when we stop dehumanizing other people.
