The premise was that Garrett had purchased a remote home in the wilderness, and the mission began with the player opening the front door and finding a dead man on the doorstep, as best I recall. Does this ring any bells? Thanks in advance!

I remember Garrett purchased a home in a place called 'Lampfire Hills' in one FM. But I don't remember any dead doorstep bodies... :cheeky:

Damn, I dunno why the Thief nostalgia bug is biting my ass so damn hard, but now I got *another* Thief 2 FM I vaguely remember and can't get out of my head. It was a castle mission, and it started with you travelling down a tunnel and finding a corpse with a letter next to it. The letter was kinda jokey in a Monty Python and the Holy Grail style, with the writer describing the horrible monster that was killing him. (Burrick with wings? Can't remember.)
Also, there was a ghostly (green?) light that that traveled down the castle halls, emanating laughter. Plus, one of the few ways into the castle was using a rope arrow. Hope that's enough to jog someone's memory!

I know the mission but cant remember the name either. The way in was roping up where the toilet used to be..lol It had a deep obulette too. If you go up on the hill that surrounds it outside the game crashes. Dang this is gonna bug me. The zip was called beaumaris or something like that. Hope I can remember or someone else does. Man getting old messes with the brain.
