It's not? I never played KotOR but Wikipedia says it's by Bioware and I was always under the impression that it was.

KotOR is by Bioware but the sequel (which this patch is for) was made by Obsidian.
I bought it years ago in a sale but have yet to play it so thanks for the reminder about this patch.

Wikipedia has a lot of misleading info on it.
Always double check elsewhere ,if u use it.
