I did get into the building by the drunk guard (Man, that Benny just follows me everywhere...*sigh*), but it's just a single room with ring on a bedsise table and no apparent exit. Is it further down the street from there, or am I just a muffin-head and that's it, but "m not finding the rest?

It's a little farther down the street from that window but not as far as the other window you were trying to get in. It's harder to see the window, because it's not brightly lit up like the others, but it's the easiest way in. :)

I've just found out about these fan missions and they're great! now my i can play may favorite game forever! I'm finding errand boy a bit tricky though - I can't find the codes for the vault - I've been everywhere(i think) but no luck - in the hunters house on top floor there is a compartment in the wall and non of my vast amount of keys will open it and i can't lockpick - are the answers in here? how do i open it? where are the codes? Am i missing something obvious? Please help!

When you are asking questions about FM's, it is useful if you state what difficulty level you are playing on. Sometimes things change such as key locations, objectives, etc. Do you have the Keymaster's key yet? If you do, you need to go to Smithe's house, put out the fire in the fireplace and look up. If you can't find the Keymaster's key, post back with your difficulty level and I'll tell you where to look for it. This is one of my favourite missions and I know it quite well. :)

Hey thanks, that did the trick - I'd been to the fireplace before and wondered what that wooden beam was doing there but completely failed to see the ladder. I think a bit of gamma adjustment is in order! I agree its an excellent level - lots of things to do, added objectives and drunken guards - nice! if this is good I can't wait to see what inverted manse is like! thanks again. :)

ARRRGGHHH!! Alright I give up, I'll ask the experts now. I am playing Errand Boy on expert but I CANNOT find the keymaster's key!!! Help....please.....
Also, how do I do that Spoiler thing where it blocks your text with a box?
Norman Druart on 1/12/2001 at 06:30
And let me tack on my question instead of starting a new Errand Boy thread.
I've done everything else but how do you access the locked room next to the kitchen in the Hammer barricks? I see a opening in the wall across from the door but I can't get to it from above, below, or the sides. Seems totally irrelevant to the objectives (more loot maybe) but I've gotta know.
Thanks!

okee, I'll take this one.
Chronus- Look around the basement of the keymaster's house for a secret lever. And simply hit the Spoiler button under Instant UBB Code to block text.
Druart- I think the Mechanist-priest in a room in the central outside area of the bank has that key on him.

What a feeb I am! I had already been in that room at the very start of the mission. "Errand Boy" has so many nooks and crannies that I had forgotten about it. I must have re-locked the door and ditched the key. The hole in the opposite wall I mentioned in my first post was just the open wall safe. And I was wondering why the banners had been slashed...
