I've got the souls of [SPOILER]Brothers Phol, Xil, and Qix.[/SPOILER] I'm torn between using them by [SPOILER]placing them on the altar in the haunted chapel-- or finding the tomb of a sword-bearing Brother (can't seem to find the evil crystal, either)[/SPOILER] or [SPOILER]doing something involving that snake-god temple.[/SPOILER]
Any further help you can give would be much appreciated, please and thank you. Normally I can get through these things without help, but this one's got me stumped.

Edit-- found the fourth soul, after taking more damage than I'd like and going way back to the beginning. Now to find the place to put them...

You're on the right track with the idea to use them in the haunted cathedral. They don't go on the altar but they are used in there somewhere. :) Great mission, isn't it?

Found where they go, but [SPOILER]still can't find the crystal that's referenced in the scroll. I know that the vase-thing is frobbable under the right circumstance, and I'll bet the crystal goes there, but no luck in finding it anywhere.[/SPOILER]
And yes, it's a wonderful mission!

I don't remember a crystal. Refresh my memory. Where is it mentioned and where is the vase thing you mentioned?

The scroll is picked up in [SPOILER]the tunnels on the way out of the sewers, amongst a bunch of bones. Sgt. V-something (I don't have the game open right now) wrote it. Talks about one of the elder Brothers givinghis eye so that the crystal might see, then realizing only too late that the crystal was evil. The scroll also talks about looking for the vessel that holds the souls of the four Brothers.[/SPOILER]
[SPOILER]I've found the grave of the Brother with the sword-- it's got a little golden vase on it, and it's in the Brotherhood of the Sword graveyard. The vase hilights when selected, but can neither be picked up nor interacted with in any way. I tried using the skulls with it, but that didn't work either.[/SPOILER]
Am I remotely close on any of this?

I think that scroll confused you a bit. The crystal referred to is the crystal skull(s), if I recall correctly. To use them, you need to go into the haunted church, creep through the shadows almost right up to the front (a bit nerve wracking but you can do it) and read a scroll that's lying by the feet of the apparition (at least I hope my memory is right about that). Something will happen and you'll find where to use the skulls. As for the vase, that is only used on Expert. Is that the difficulty you're playing on? If so, then have you found your way onto the sub yet? If not, then I won't say more so you have a chance to figure it out for yourself. :) This is a very complex mission but great fun to explore.

In the end I love Belboz's TTGM missions because they are so big, open-ended and suited for exploring. I really truly hope he continues the series. We have not heard from him in a while so I hope everything is okay.

Nightwalker-- I'll give that a try later on, thank you. Yes, I've found my way [SPOILER]onto the sub. Oooooo, was I pissed that the sub teleported me to the temple, which I could have reached through the Brotherhood of the Sword compound![/SPOILER]
I wish I didn't have to go into [SPOILER]the haunted chapel... I *HATE* the undead with a passion. The final mission in T:DP was a cakewalk compared to anything with the undead.[/SPOILER]

In "TTGM: Up Shit Creek", there's [SPOILER]a map in the burrick den, left by Dr. Jones. It shows an exit from the island lake-- on the map, the exit is to the North. Outside, the north shows simply a rock wall, and the huge iron door to the south doesn't see to have a way to open it... or does it? This is what I get for playing Thief at nearly 4:00 in the morning.[/SPOILER]
