I do have an invis and used it to try and get a better idea where ladder is. I can reuse it as it's after my QS. After a couple more attempts to try and see it (very very dark) I finally spotted it. I have to manuver myself around to a more frontal approach as I'm on the side of hole in my hiding place. I guess this is were the invis I found was meant to use?
That darn ladder isn't in a good place because if it had been placed on the side facing the end of the altar as I see it from my hiding place and where you would have been if you went over to the door(s) to investigate, it would have given a better shot at it as well as not having to get over the ledge from down below if you didn't, however I guess most ppl would have ended up where I need to get to, for positioning. Also being right in corner of hole and next to lever doesn't give much room to catch it. :(
I really think that was made more difficult than it was by doing it that way. Not only the placement...but the fact you needed to do it so fast makes it harder to get on it IMHO. Maybe my only option would be to change the "jump" into autocatch temporarily. :D So I guess I'll have to keep trying until I manage it. :erg:  Bye for now. ;)

Can't find the two Tri-Keys - I found ONE of them in the big shaft past a dining room on the ground floor. The hint in the scroll says another one is high up in the shaft, but I simply cannot find it!! Anyone remember?
ISN'T THAT ALWAYS THE WAY!!? I found it right after I posted this.
In the shaft, at the very extreme top of the three "blocks" with ladders on them is a hall leading to a secret door that opens when you approach it. I couldn't see the hallway in the dark! Boosting Gamma can solve alot of problems!

I'm playing Shoreleave on expert, and I'm stuck in the
submarine.
Nothing happen when I try to use the coins on the golden plaque.
Well, I couldn't activate the teleport in the temple too :(.
I'm doing something wrong?
If it's a bug, can I complete the mission without using the teleports?(
http://www.mediafire.com/?jmhzi1ytzol) Savegame (right in front of the machine).
I've found a way to fix it.
I reloaded a previous point where I had still to get the third coin. I dropped the 2 coins already in my possession, unlocked the chest to get the third coin, and pick up the other two. Now the plaque react to the coins. Possible cause of the bug: drop/pick the coins .

Very strange! I don't think I've heard of that problem before but I'm glad you figured out how to fix it. Thanks for posting it here for anyone else who runs into it in the future. :thumb:

My return to Shore Leave, the 2nd part of belboz's TTGM campaign.
I've played the mission years ago but never properly finished due to it's size and complexity. But now that I did, I realize how incredibly good this mission is.
Keep in mind that the level is huge. It costs hours to explore everything, but the reward is worth it. You pass all kinds of environments, like underground tunnels, warehouses, factories, a chapel, a harbor and more. Because this is a 2001 mission, don't expect any beautiful visuals or complex designs. But with the limitations of that time, the author really did a job well done. And the missions size probably prevented the implementation of detailled scenery. Some custom stuff is present, mainly for story purpose. Most seems to be stock resources.
At the beginning it can be a disaster to navigate yourself, and it's easy to get lost. While there's a map available, it takes some time to become familair with it. Seveal alternative routes can be used to make things easier later on.
Only two objectives are visible throughout the game, but many more side goals can be accomplished (as seen in the goals menu after the mission is complete). My favorite was the search for the missing skulls, representing the souls of some missing brotherhood members. Interesting stuff.
In terms of story, nothing exciting happens until the last part of the mission. It starts as an escape from your hotel, and followes with finding your way underground, through the streets and over the rooftops. Not a problem as long as you don't mind exploration. Carefully reading scrolls on your way is advised, as it can safe you a lot of frustration.
At the end some very cool stuff happens, and things that weren't clear at the beginning fall into place.
It's worth playing Shore Leave just to see this happen!! It made me even more anxious to the next part of the Trickster's Gem Mine Series, Up Shit Creek.
On a negative note: the objective to aquire the
Cargo storage 5 key is rubbish. A scroll gives the indication to look
near a grave, but something totally different is required of the player. It's a nice idea, but so unexpected that it took me a long time studying the ground + extensively searching the threads for clues to figure this out.
Overall this is a mission well worth recommending. The variety in environments to explore, excellent gameplay and an exciting last part, compensate for a hard and sometimes confusing experience. Having played "Errand Boy" first is advised to understand the story.
If you haven't played it in all those years, be sure to give it a go :thumb:.

There are 2 ways to get onto the sub and one involves finding a use for the torso. You can only use one or the other though, not both, as far as I can recall. I loved exploring this mission and it's well worth the time required in my opinion.

Interesting. I've got to check this out sometime. Thanks for the answer.

I'm kind of stuck in this mission.
What I achieved so far:
- collected all 4 skulls and opened the passage
- found the medallion for the teleporters
- stole Lord Thumamite's Mask collection
- 2600 loot
- crawled into the hidden place inside the first sailing ship which took me to the Bronze Shark
While going through the level again to find stuff I missed, I stepped by the docks again. Suddenly there where new crewmembers on the ship (I blackjacked all of them before) and the ship's name changed from, I think it was, Mary Ann (?) to Arkham's Hammer. I crawled into the secret place again, the text saying you fall asleep appeared again but then I was trapped in the room with the rat. No switch or anything else to get out...
I still have the first objective unchecked and no additional objectives so far.
I can't find a way to enter most parts of the city you can see on the first page of the map. I can only find a way from the inn where you start to the docks / warehouses and from the inn to the sewers which lead to a room with Burricks where you can find one of the 4 skulls. Down in the sewers there are 4 gates but I can't find a key or a lever to open them.
Obviously I missed a lot and played the mission in a way I'm not supposed to be (~ the 2nd ship and being trapped in that emtpy room).
Is there any way to get out of the 2nd ship's cargo hold?

I managed to blindly stagger my way into the second part of this mission but can't go any further. I'm all for open world gaming but the total lack of direction in this vast FM makes it way too complex for me.

Hi Nightwalker. I have been replaying this mission on Hard. When I went to choose Expert, I believe it said no knock outs. Could have sworn I did Expert before but oh well. Just hope I'm not missing anything because I just can't help myself when it comes to knock outs.
I did get the flowers and they wanted to go into a vase on the grave. I recieved a silver nugget instead of a key. Do you know if that is a change to the game or the level I am playing? If so where would the key be now. Oh I forgot to mention I haven't been on the boat yet and hope that didn't change things or mess me up.
Thank you :wot::cheeky::erm:
