don't ask me cause I don't remember...
...but if you set off his talkie and was not there to listen to it all then you need a save from before you bumped into him, I think his efficency setting is on and he would have shut up when you got out of range and the conversation control would have aborted before the objectives got set, as he controls the conversation and objectives, and the conversation wont run if he's turned off, which is what the efficency setting does.

I either kill them, or run into the water, if they follow you into the water they drown, or they wont follow you into the water, can't remember if pathable water setting is on or off.

So I have the setting and rising sun things. I don't have the twin stars I don't think. I'm in the apex room, and I try using the suns on the round slot things but it doesn't do anything. Don't stay in the slot or anything. Help?

You need either the Star of Dacorius or the Star of Pentacus to open the chambers. The Dacorius star is in Priest Efinoog's study in the Hammer/Mechanist Combine Chapel. The Pentacus Star is in a Pagan Shrine near the railway. Both are not that far from the Tower, but the Dacorius Star is easier to find. You'll need both stars by the end of the mission.

Ok more questions :) Where is the pagan shrine? Rather, is it easy to find, can I just stumble across it if I follow the tracks? Also, what all do I need before entering the mine? I already have: The lucky head, the one star, and the golden skull. I still need a mask I think, and some other head? Sorry but I get lost too easily even with a map and I have trouble remembering things.

Sorry about the study/bedroom thing. It's been a while since I've played.
Anyway, I think follow the railway until you come to a dead end with a lonely control podium with one Mechanist worker manning it. Nearby there's a small passage somewhat hidden by bushes. The shrine got me for a while, too.
