I've never been to Petra in Jordan, although I do know about the place cos there was a documentary about it on tv.
the chasm is just cracks at the bottom of a big creater.
To end the mission you need to fill all the objectives in the objective screen, except the last one, then use the idols in the temple ne of the mage compound, stand in the particles to get to the other temple, then move forward.
There are four talisman and four idols, three idols can be found around the compound and the forth is given to you by lackluster when he departs the world, when you return to him with the four talisman, if you find all the talisman and no idols, then returning to lackluster he will give you the forth idol and a scroll describing the locations of the others.

Although I've played this before, I'm stuck. Playing on normal in Part 2 I've done it the other way around and went to the bone temple first. [SPOILER]Where exactly is the lich's key? I can sneak right up to him but there's no key. He gets up and walks around but has no key. I went back to a previous save and went to the Hammerite Compound and found the info on killing liches. Do I have to kill the lich to get the key? Does he disappear and a key appear in his place?[/SPOILER] I just can't remember what I did the first time I played this. I've also found this time that if I reload in the temple, he appears lying in a different direction from the last time. Most odd.
I went back and started again and [SPOILER]killed the 7 undead.[/SPOILER] When I did the temple bit again [SPOILER]the lich was walking around with the key this time. Actually I ended up with 2 secret passage keys, 1 worked and 1 didn't.[/SPOILER]

The key is in a hole in the side of the altar, if he's lieing on the altar, if he gets up and the key is not on him, then its either still in the hole in the altar, or on the altar, or the blue thief pixies have stolen it and hidden it with the thief bug.

I actually just found the Air Talisman so no help needed there. But I am still missing one of the idols, I can't remember which one it is. I think it might be the air one but the location of all the idols would be helpful. And I read somewhere that the air mages carried keys? I don't think I have picked up any keys off of the air mages. Is it possible they disappeared when they died?

Well, some things change locations depending on the difficulty level that you're playing, and i think idols are among them but i'm not so sure about talismans/tricky temple keys though. If you have 3 idols the 4th one will be [SPOILER]given to you by Lakluster but you need to have all 4 talismans (or tricky keys as they're called) first in order to get it. [/SPOILER] All mages carry keys, you should have at least 3-4 keys from each group of mages. BTW, have you been to the [SPOILER]rooftops outside the mages compound?[/SPOILER] :ebil: :ebil:

I'll really have to replay all of the Trickter's Gem Mine Missions (so far) soon. This mission, in particular is definitely one of the best (I especially get my sides split by [SPOILER]all of the horrible yet comical deaths/fates of the mages[/SPOILER] in the first part)

I toasted all the Air Mages [SPOILER]with the moss arrows[/SPOILER] before seeing if they had any keys on them and I think that the keys disappeared with them. With the other mages the keys floated in mid air after I killed them but not with the air mages. I think someone else before mentioned having the same problem. As for the idols I only have 2, I have no idea where to find the third idol. In response to your question to if I had [SPOILER]been on the roof of the air mage compound[/SPOILER], I have not. I only have one key from the air mages.
I really hope I can finish this mission it is one of the more entertaining missions I have done lately. This is actually the first one I have done out of the series, I just found out yesterday that there were more so I downloaded them and tried them. They seem like they will be pretty fun also.

[SPOILER]go to the stairs with the small pool at the bottom in the water mage area, not the entrance pools, go up the stairs, and at top go west into short corridor, have a look at the lefthand side of the doorframe of the door you've just walked through for a switch. Use the switch and enter the hidden room, in a footlocker in the room there, is what you seek.[/SPOILER]
