TTGM and Darkmod - why not? ;)

It just so happens TTGM is one of my topmost favorite FM series if not THE most favorite all-around wise. Playing that FM series was actually one of the catalysts for the beginning conception of my own personal Thief world FM series. I clearly remember slowly creating the main character of my series in my head while playing through the underground ruins under the small island in "Up Sh*t Creek". The entire series really felt to me like a Thief equivalent of an Indiana Jones adventure with all the various locations and Belboz's amazing talent for architecture. I've always worried over the years that Belboz would eventually give up or be unable to finish his series -- and it looks like that's the case here.
I DEFINATELY hope he can work something out with his computer and Thief and finish his series with DromEd. Otherwise, i'll have to hope it concludes with The Dark Mod -- and even then it'll probably feel more like "Generic Thief" than anything else since The Dark Mod can't copy Thief directly without risk of copyright infringement ala Eidos. :(
[BTW, the "Generic Thief" comment wasn't a disregard on the value of The Dark Mod -- only on the sense of seperation from Thief required to be safe from copyrights]

TDM itself might not be released with any direct Thief or Garrett content, but I wager that our more enterprising authors will find ways of making FMs centered around Garrett. ;)

I've been playing the original thief fan missions for Dark Project for years, and took a bit of a break, but finally wanted to start playing Metal Age FMs. I only started this one and it's series first because I wanted to see if anyone had made any training missions.
I just played through all the TTGM missions and they were a blast. I was switching between this and the Crap Fan Missions Contest FM's (because those sounded so ludicrously fun). There was a lot of variety between the levels, and I was surprised at how much had changed from the original Dark Project missions the first two were based on, as I assumed at first they were just going to be the same missions with a few new areas and textures.
Thanks for making such cool missions. Now to go through the staggering amount of Metal Age fan missions and figure out what to play next.

Just pick something at random and enjoy. Don't try and play all the top rated stuff right away.
Welcome aboard.
