Well there in lies my problem ... or more of my problem ...
Is the mining incampment further down that same area? Is it on the same level (speaking vertically)?
I can see that the map tells me there is more there but I can't find any openings feeling my way along in the dark. I can't even tell if I'm moving in there. I tried following the zombie but he just goes back and starts over.
Tell me as if I were blind because in that area I am.
and Thanks for the help guys. I don't want to give up on this one. I like it too much.

You could try boosting the game's gamma outside the limits available on the '+' and '-' keys. To do this, use the control key and 'p' (ie. ctrl-p) to get a prompt line at the top of the screen. Enter 'gamma 0.30' (without the quotes) and then press return. Try smaller numbers to get a brighter screen or larger for darker. Using the standard gamma keys will return you to the normal range. Now Garrett has night-vision goggles!
I find this very helpful when playing in dark areas during daylight hours when I should be working... :)

Thanks m_h.
I tried the control - p prompt in game and it didn't work. Is that what you meant?

open your dark.bnd file in wordpad, think its too big for notepad to handle, and look inside it for your key bind for the prompt, for me its shift :, others it control p, so check your bindings to find out which its set at. best i can say.

Yes, but if your command prompt is not appearing you can always try the method I used before I found out about the prompt:
Close thief. Open the file 'cam.cfg' from your Thief2 installation folder in notepad. Find the line with 'gamma 0.xxxxxx' and change it to a lower value number. Then save the file and start thief. Thief has to be restarted each time you change this which is a bit tedious but once you've found a good value it should be ok. If you use the gamma keys in-game it'll reset to its normal range and you'll have to quit and re-edit cam.cfg.
Hope this works...

Went to arachnid temple and wasted the 4 spiders there. Only had 1 plaque to pickup off the small pedastols with different colors on them, representing the 4 elements. There was not earth plaque there, just a water plaque. Playing on easy. Not sure where to find the plaque/stone slab I need to continue.
thanks.

shadowcrawler :
ok once all those key things are placed in there corresponding temples and that objective ticks off, then and only then will all four elemental plaques will appear on those 4 pedestals in the spider temple. so if the other three plaques are not on those pedestals then you need go finish putting the keys in place.
:thumb: Belboz, what an aboslute "gem" of a game you created,I have just finished playing it and I was pleased with myself for not using spoilers (that is a first) although I wasabout a thousand in gold short over the whole game, which gives me an excuse to do it again.
Are there any more parts to your wonderful TTGM series to come?, if so I can't wait. Thanks for a real thrill ride it's a pleasure playing your games. :thumb:
