:tsktsk: :o Please forgive this silly question but I can't quite figure out all the right combinations for Spider Portal destruction:( I don't have the objective but thought I would try it anyway.
The first two were easy..and of course the first hint was given...Water on Fire...then I used a Fire on Water. OK, then I thought Gas arrow on Air would be the one but I shot two at it and it didn't go out...so at this point I reloaded with the first two in tact being done, Saved/Quit. So how do I accomplish the other two please? Since I only have three choices (Water/Gas/Fire) Air feeds fire so I don't see as that being it's opposite (using a fire arrow to put it out) and I certainly thought gas would be the one for air as gas would use up the oxigen I would have thunk? But then what would I use for Earth (or should that be for the gas arrow)?
So as you can see...I just don't understand it at this point :( Please lead me on so I can get to the more difficult part which is next in objectives...placing plaques! Thanks a lot and Good Hunting!

what difficulty are you playing on?
try this:
Moss on Air, Gas on Earth
:joke: Oh crappie doo doo :D I never even thought once about that first one...guess that's what I get for playing at 3:00am! Perhaps if I'd of remembered I had that option I might have eventually figured it out...who knows? But thank you very much for the push Shadow :) For future info, I'm playing either Normal or possibly Hard, can't remember but more likely Normal since I know belboz's are usually more difficult anyway ;) Ta and Good Hunting!

There's not much difference between the difficulty levels in this one, just more loot needed per difficulty. The special things in the tombs are optional anyway on expert. And more zombies and certain creature changes each difficulty.
The spider portal combination is the same as the maw portal out of thief the dark project, just pick up any plaques first before using the fire arrow, and do it when the patrolling spider/zombie are out of range.

:) MISSIONS COMPLETED! Yea, great FM's belboz but I tell you true, were it not for the walkthru's I would have been totally up S.C. LOL It was still quite a challenge even so and I did get much enjoyment playing them alway! :) Now I have to get the other two installments...but I think I will probably end up hoping for another walkthru. I just would have had no idea about how those needed to be played...I would have been eternally lost :( But I'll play them anyway just cause they are so well done!!!
My only problem now is downloading that 21mg'r on a 56K modem...Yikes  Catch ya later and Good Hunting!

Actually, if you've been playing the missions in order, you've already been up the proverbial "S.C.". I don't recall having a paddle, either.
ShadowWolf421 on 9/8/2004 at 23:56
here is the TTGM Series (so far) in order:
TTGM: Training
Errand Boy
Shore Leave / Up Sh*t Creek
Making Tracks
Trickster's Rift Gem Mine / Elsewhere (Parallex Paradox)
Chasm of the Lost Part 1/2

Actually I have played some of the others already...long time ago of course. I did stop playing at Making Tracks as I couldn't figure some things out and set it aside. When these next installments came out, I posted and asked belboz was it necessary for me to finish in order to play and he said no it was O.K. :) So that's what I did. I'm just afraid I'm not very good at puzzles, and wouldn't have understood all what needed to be done as such or how or where, etc. I have played for years but some of them are a bit beyond me...none-the-less, I'll play many of them anyway just cause I like to play :) Also, as I said numerous times, I'm not a big undead fan so many of those I won't even try, but exceptions are given ;) So now I'm presently downloading the last two of this series I guess and I'll be on the board looking for answers I'm sure :) Till then...Good Hunting!

The next two '(strange happenings at) Breach Fort' , and 'Factory Limit' which aren't finished yet will just be standard thiefy type missions without extended puzzles. Well except breach fort is an undead/hammerite mission, and factory limit is a mechanist mission.
