If you have all four, [spoiler]then carry them back to the temple where you first entered and met with the guy that gave you your room key. You will need to open a door on the other side of the large open area where the stairs are. At the end of this hallway lies the room where you will power up the crystals, but be careful, there may be a few surprises along the way. :ebil:[/spoiler]

Can anyone tell me where the info about the twin stars is on expert. I seem to have read every book.. even more annoyingly I've found it before and can't now!

Hi all, im showing my friend (whom i got hooked on thief :ebil: ) the TTGM series, and im replaying THe Trickster's Gem Mine on expert, but im afraid to say i have one problem, i got everything done but the in temple of metamorphosis, where [SPOILER]I use the twin stars, the blue particles show up but the red portal doesn't [/SPOILER] and this is the third time ive played this, does anyone know what may be wrong? I've gotten all the proctor's weapons, the only thing to do is go through the portal. :confused:

I just finished TTGM 6: Parallel Paradox, sort of, in about 3 hours (game time, not real time). It took that long because I don't like to leave any guards standing.
However, I had a couple of events that appear to be bugs.
I got all the crystals and Garret went to sleep, and thus started Day 3. I KOed the 4 ppl and locked them in the tomb (including the one who planned to kill me), but that OBJ didn't check off. So then I repaired the portal, not too worried about that OBJ since they couldn't follow me because they were locked in the tomb.
When I went to put the crystals in place, suddenly one of them was gone from my inventory. The "find crystals" OBJ was still checked so I know this wasn't a "reload and forget" error on my part. You can't even get to the ruins until Day 3, which doesn't start until you find the crystals on Day 2. The missing crystal was back where I found it the first time. As soon as I picked it up Garret wanted to go to sleep again, like an endless "Day 3" loop, but instead I went back to the ruins.
The "KO the 4 ppl" OBJ was still not checked off. I checked the tomb and they were still lying there, so I locked them in again.
After I did all the stuff needed to break the curse, I fell through to the ice chute and slid to a stop (even though I had not touched any keys). I cannot jump over the pit, not even to do a "grab and mantle." Even though the pit only looks one story deep, I die when I fall in there. That results in a "mission failed" ending for not KOing the 4 ppl, even though I got the only 4 AIs who weren't in guard uniforms, and I am quite sure one of them was the one who was going to kill me.
So, I will move on to the next mission. It is a very imaginitive series and these are the first bugs I encountered with it, which is a huge accomplishment given the scope of the project.

KOing the 4 didn't work for me either, :confused: but my computer is overdue for its annual maintenance, i.e. the Microsoft "reformat and reload," :joke: so it's probably my computer.

Playing the first part, on "Hard".
I'm stuck here. I've got three keys: Air, Earth, and Fire. I have two statues. I have three talismans- earth, air, and water. This is so confusing and screwed up, I don't know where to look next. I have all the ingredients needed to get my hands on the "fire" thing (talisman? key? statue?) arranged around the star in the lava pit room and nothing is appearing. I have Wyrm Skins ("canopic jar" does not designate it as "powdered" as required by spell. Is there something I need to do to these skins first)?
Most of the mages have been "ko'd" by arrows. I can't find the "water" key, and there seems to be no one to pickpocket left.
Also, what's up with the switch sitting there in the middle of the first floor of the "library" area (the library area is heretofore defined as: the one with the "nobility" ghost on the third floor and the burricks and "bowls and crosses" on the fourth floor).
HELP? Walkthrough?

OK, first things first. I'm replaying this again on "Hard", I played it originally on "Expert", and things are a bit different.
For the Fire Talisman: [SPOILER]If you have all ingrediants; place one at a time over one of the dishes at each of the five points of the pentagram. I start with one ingrediant and keep trying plates till it activates.[/SPOILER]
Water Key: I apologize, but I can't remember for sure how I got it. I'm thinking that there is a water mage running about carrying it. I do remember finding a mage that had committed suicide, and when I picked his body up there was a key hidden under him, but I think this was a fire mage.
I also have two of the statues:
Idol Unos - [SPOILER]Water Mages Ground Floor - Arch Water Mages Study - Blue Chest[/SPOILER]
Idol Triact - [SPOILER]Air Mages 1st Floor - Southern most Library Work Room - Shelf behind crates[/SPOILER]

Thanks, and I"ll report back here if I ever get that bloody pentacle to work. I hate it when you have very "picky" stunts to do in a mission and things have to be juuuuuust right, or else...
