This should help get you in the right mode:
What you need to do is go back to the mining offices.
Go back to the area where the servant zombie was and rope arrow into the window where you found the lab that revived a spider.
In this room is another door on the opposite side of the room that takes you to the tranporter room.
You will have to break open a boarded up wall to get there.
Follow the tunnels till you get to the end.
There are colored light beams coming out of metal plates in the tranporter room and in the center is glass you are suppose to stand on in the center of the white beam and use one of the stars to get a blue sparkly apparation to appear into a crevis in the wall (where you will be going thru).
Then go to the two posts next to the portal and use you stars on these to get the red portal light to start.
after this you can jump thru.
At least thats what i remember doing.
Play with these three smaller squares to get the portal up and running using your two stars.

You know where you went to get to the lab, you had to rope up into the building? You find a key in the kitchen and go through the lab crash through some boards then you find yourself in the Palace. On your way!

I think i may have missed a step here,
Has anyone opened the closed stone door with a star on it thats just beyond a large opening you have to jump up into to reach another area with the prism objective.
(The area with the Bot patroling up and down the hall in the Temple of Metomorphisis)
I used my two stars, and it looks like i needed one of the stars to open it.
But i can't dislodge the stars now as I already used to them on the crystal recharging sequence.
How do you get into this door?
Is it necessary to open it to complete the mission?
I have a feeling I made an error here.

Is this the door with a pile of soil in front of it? If so, yes i believe you need a gold star to open it and no it's not necessary to get in there to complete the mission. Can't remember what was in there, i am sure there's no loot in there though, can anyone else verify that?

there nothing in that room except for empty alcoves.

Thanks for confirming that you guys.
I hate it when i have progressed to soon and missed a hidden area.
I didnt have a save point to revert to.

Hi guys!
I've explored everywhere accessible via guest card in Biodome 9, been to the power room and disabled the turrents, been down the hall with the 'bot and got all the additional objectives and scroll but now I'm stuck. I can't find any additional access cards.
I've used the star to open the various rooms off of the turret room and beyond (where you get the prism objective). I've found the six displacement disks but not the one for humanity, used both the crystal power and spacial plaques, blackjacked the four patroling mechanists in dome 9 (none of them had key cards) and basically been running around like a madwoman :)
Help would be grand!
Cheers!

Go into one of the guest rooms in the nexus area, the additional key cards can only be got on day 2.
There's nothing in the pin displacement room, everything in there either ended up in bio-dome 9 or the museum in bio-dome 1.
Additional information, on the core device in the center of the nexus room, there are two red lights, one will light up if there is nothing left to do on day one, and the other one will light up if there is nothing left to do on day two. Its a backup incase the Garrett feels sleepy text fails to display.
