Well, that is basically what I said in my first post:
"already an insular and nerdy genre, sound even dorkier"
so you might be right.

I should read more carefully.

What is it with Edmonton and being retarded about subgenres?
Aja on 18/1/2010 at 20:52
I only have a problem with subgenres that aren't worth listening to.

Ok enough you idiots.
I'm a little sad that our non-Euro buds cannot be on this. GBM and Stitch for example and I want to say Scots but I think I might not be able to stand the amount of white college boy music then (though to be fair he did introduce me to Interpol who I really like).

I think there may be a way round it and not by using proxies.
It depends how it installs on a new computer abroad.
If the person opens an account in the UK and logs on every (
http://www.spotify.com/en/help/faq/#country) 2 weeks from a UK IP then the account can be used anywhere in the world.
(On premium you don't even need to do the 2 week log on.)
So it would mean someone in a Spotify enabled country would need to create the account and regularly log on for that person
But the sticking point as I said is if Spotify would let itself be loaded onto a computer abroad.
I can test this because at home my broadband is satellite and routed through Luxembourg, so I'll try a fresh install on another computer when I finally get home from Christmas tomorrow.
