My review of Dishonored on the Codex.
For those too lazy to read it in full: not Thief, but a good stealth game that's definitely worth playing.

Coo I finished. I'd give it 7.5 - which probably sounds harsh but, then, I gave Bioshock 2.5 and this is about 3 times better than Bioshock. An actual good game. Sort of like a much better Thief 3. But not Thief, and without the Cradle, sadly.

I have a few games that I bought during the Steam sales which I'm playing concurrently: Dishonored, Skyrim and Batman Arkham City. All 3 are good games but I can't help going back to Dishonored all the time. This game has the atmosphere, beautiful and unique graphics, lots of excellent gameplay elements, strong story in a unique settings. I dare say that Batman and Skyrim is no where close!

Dunno about Skyrim but both Batman games are great.

Skyrim is awesome for exploring. I could get in and just ride my horse around forever, and sometimes jump into a town or dungeon for a mission for the day. But there wasn't so much carrying it with the gameplay itself... I'm click-festing scimitar chops and spells and freezing for a potion now and again, walk forward, rinse & repeat. Even then, honestly I probably spend the most time just looking for screenshots to take. (I enjoy being in the world a lot though. I don't want to give the wrong impression.)
But with Dishonored I keep replaying for the gameplay. The only catch is that, because it's sort of short, I could see myself knowing all the levels really well, and then I want something new... (Wish the game would have come with the DLC since they made another few levels or so...) If only we could make fan-levels to keep it going, le sigh. I'd play them for sure.
