Hmmm, doable but not convenient I guess.

I do come to London fairly often actually, but it's always for a "thing" which usually involves meals and drinks anyway. I have to make one of these at some point though!

How often do they happen then? I've been a member since 2001 (my start date got jiggled in the last forum update), but mainly lurking. It's only since I started my PhD that I've taken to the high-level procrastination that TTLG satisfies, so I've not been too up on events during the last 10 years.

Hm, hard to say, it's not so much a regular thing as it is one asshole waking up some morning deciding that it's been a while.
Alright, let's just start nailing this down - Saturday, 24 November. We should really start putting together a list of names and what people want to do. My suggestion would be - meet up around midday in the 11-13 bracket, go eat and drink, go do something else around london, then go drink and possibly eat some more. Sound vague enough? I would recommend we check out the czech pub at some point for good cheap drinks and food, though I don't know when, and as for drinking in central London, the atmosphere is more vivid in the evening but it's also harder to find a place to sit.

Sounds like something I could get behind. Unless I stay up in London with some friends, I'll likely get the 11:05 pm train back to Southampton. But that all sounds good enough. Add my name to the list.

I'm not ever coming to one if these of people are bailing before 2 am. Wth?! If it's a session, make it a session!

So if I stay in London, you'll come?

24th sounds plausible, lets do it. 2am would require somewhere late-ish, and that get's shitty in central. Dalston, much as I love it, is a bit hip for a late night drinky social plus it's kind of a bastard to get to without a bike. Camden?

Not this time, no.

Yeah, I'm wide open for the late night section of our soiree, up until a month ago I couldn't really hang out too late around London on account of having to get the train back. So I'll go with whatever the rest of you lot decide.
I will throw this much on the table, there's the bavarian beerplace around Tower Hill that I went to for Oktoberfest which is open until 1am. Beyond that we'd have to move someplace else, though.
