It's pronounced "Obilvoin" and no.
I'm actually thinking of the game called "Whoops, GBM is sniffing around in here... let's try to keep it civil at least until he buggers off."
Yametha on 12/4/2006 at 08:24
It's civil enough... or so I thought... isn't it over yet? :tsktsk:
One thing I know I would be doing (if he knew) is annoying David, I'm F5ing every few seconds, I double posted just up there and I seem to be editing every single post multiple times.

Then I feel sorry for you (edit: I really do, I'm not rubbishing you or making fun of you). I really liked both Morrowind and Oblivion. And that's something it seems you won't be able to enjoy.
I do like it, and can enjoy it, but it tries my patience like no other game I've played because of all the problems with it. So, I guess it's a good game, but it's a lemon (see, much more pleasantly scented than shit) of a product. IMHO.

In that case, I wish you well :D
When Komag finally returns, it's going to be like "woah, what happened here?!?" :cheeky:

Likewise, and to Komag as well - if he returns to this thread. And apologies to Ringer for his thread heading south. Like I said earler, Ringer - I'm sure someone will make Thief mods for Oblivion. I know I don't play Morrowind without the blackjack mod.
Komag on 12/4/2006 at 09:19
I actually edited that one post before I saw any response to it - you can tell because there is no "edited" time stamp, which means it was edited quite quickly, within a minute or two.
But anyway, I'm simply surprised anyone is complaining about Morrowind, such an old game, when the topic is whether Oblivion would make a decent platform for a Thief mod. But if you really want to talk about Morrowind and how it's broken or whatever, that should probably go in some other thread
Ringer on 12/4/2006 at 10:52
OK so we have determined that the Oblivion engine would not make a good thief style engine and Doom 3 might be the ultimate Modern Thief engine......With the bits I saw ingame(of oblivion) I thought otherwise....
Can we end the thread now....

Morrowind isn't such an old game. It's only 4 years old & Bloodmoon is only 3 years old. Morrowind & it's unresolved problems, Daggerfall & it's unresolved problems, and now Oblivion & it's exisitng problems speak of the sort of platforms that Bethesda makes - poor ones.

Well, my version of Morrowind seems to have all of its problems resolved; I'm playing it on full details, shadows, draw distance. And this isn't a particularly high-end machine (X600 Pro 3D card, pretty mediocre really).
