I disagree with Shadowriku95 about extorting information as I don't think it fits with the spirit of Thief.
But he is right that with the computing power now available, the interaction between Garret (or Garretina:ebil:) and the inhabitants of the city can move up to a different level.

hey namdrol, that's kinda what I mean. But If It's gonna get critising all 14 year olds around here.......
I'm only giving suggestions. And I like a debate, but one does not have to get insulted in such a manner. Depending on the *person* that is.
Me voila a la grande et majestueux Normandie quand mon copain me geule dessus apres avoir vole (pardon, j'ai pas de clavier francais) ma Glace !!!!

Of course, if this is a Thief 4 thread, it should be moved, but anyway, I'm strongly against any confrontation with AIs other than the associates/allies/fences/stores/informants.
Sorry it got all weird and tense in here.

ShadowRiku95 is just a boy, and isn't encouraging to close one of his first threads.

This is *not* a democracy, friend. This is a forum T
I figured this out from the start, which is why Ive not joined with the other idiots by having a go.
And neither is it comm chat where you can start being overtly adversarial and use colourful language just because you can..
Shadowriku95, welcome to the forums.

Welcome, Shadowriku95, to the luxurious fabulous TTLG Thief Forum.
Try to not mind the natives as much, as some of them have contracted a rare form of rabid fandom, as they sometimes are want to attack innocent passerby!
Regardless, I hope that you thoroughly enjoy your stay at their little digs. :ebil:

There is a beautiful woman called Lytha who may dispute the above statement.
(Although pedants may quibble about the lexical, phrase or literal meaning of "Ghost Mode".)
Would she really? It's indisputable that clayman coined "ghost mode" and invented the playing style: (
http://forums.eidosgames.com/old-ubb/Thief_Modes_of_Play_Final_rules.htm)
Furthermore, a comparison of the rules of "Lytha way" and "Ghost Mode" reveals only a few resemblances. Playing on expert and dealing no damage are the only requisites shared by both. From what I remember, Lytha liked to reduce her HP to a couple of shields and generally avoided second and third alerts, but these are her preferences, not the ground rules for Lytha style that she defined on her website so long ago.
Lytha style requires the player to find all loot; ghosting does not. Lytha style allows the player to receive damage from AI, instigate second and third alerts from AI, and destroy property (slash banners, bash doors, etc); ghosting does not. These are major differences.

Yes, I looked into it and had a proper dig through the archives both here and over there after I posted.
It gets a bit murky back there, but I know I'm wrong as far as "Ghosting" goes.
Almost deleted the post but thought what the hell.
My mistake. :tsktsk:
