It did make for a nice little quasi survival horror side-trip, however. I liked Uncharted for pretty much everything except its tendency to swarm you with hordes of enemies. But even then the combat was fluid and graceful.
There's something about the game - I call it the 'Sands of Time' effect - that draws you back for 'just one more go', and before you know it, you've spent another whole hour playing it.
Exactly. And as for the hordes of enemies, I've just finished Act IV (of U1) and well, I think I was playing that single act for at least 2.5 hours and killed at least 50-70 goons. Even though I play the game on Hard, the amount of shooting was overmuch IMO, especially considering it was an early stage of the game. Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but I eventually tired to shoot in that act. I just hope the game won't be always like that further in, and there will be some missions with no or minimal firefights, just for diversity.

Loved both Uncharteds, with hordes and everything :)
Can't wait for Uncharted 3, w00t!

The game is very well paced; generally big shootout sections are followed by puzzle or climbing sections, and there are a few places with no combat whatsoever.

What Aja said. On Hard, some bits are going to be a bit of a bitch, though. Still excellent fun. Hope you intend to start with part 2 after you're done! :thumb:

Whoops, thought we were talking about Uncharted 2. I never played the first; guess I should.
