I just finished this one and wanted to add my praise. MaJiC really put a lot of effort into the scenery detail. I normally hate ghosting, but in this mission it was a lot of fun -- although, the most fun I had was in killing everyone, including the spider.

I think he's making an assumption based on the "Father's Pride" references. I personally don't enough confidence about any of the C4 FM's to guess who did them... except for mine, of course! ;)

OK I found the lever for the 3rd secret (in the first room). But where is the secret itself? I hear something open, and it seems to be quite close, but for the life of me I can't find where it is?

Check the end of the wood "display" counter in the next room. The one with all the bones, etc. on it. I had a heck of a time finding that, too. :)

Have only been able to find $820 in loot. My question is about two items in the attic which LOOK like loot but won't highlight. To the right of the large wooden chest on the floor near the wall is a white object that looks like a gem and facing the door into the small room with the lift to the left of the door behind the rock support is a gold-looking vase. Should either of these be accessible? After many tries have not been able to land on top of the statue's head. Hope that doesn't area contain loot.
Nightwalker on 29/6/2003 at 15:49
The only thing of value that I found in the attic was a gold hammer. You don't have to get on top of any statue, for sure. Did you find
a ring that's lying on the floor in the bedroom, underneath a bedside table? A purse tucked in beside a pedestal in the first room you enter? Have you found all the secrets because there's loot in some of them?
If you're still short, let me know and I'll make up a loot list for you. It wouldn't take long, as the mission is so small. :)

Ok then, since everyone but ME seems to be doing howdy doody with the FM...
(Howdy Doody?? :weird: )
Anyway. What are the two invisibility-looking potion bottles on the rafters in the shed with the bodies? This isn't a spoiler, anyone who goes in there can see 'em. Are they...... invisibility potions?? What can't I get 'em? To be fair, I have to say that I often quit a mission if I have to stack boxes more than twice. :( But, my box-stacking skills notwithstanding, can I get/am I supposed to get the bottles?? Is this eye-candy?
Ok, back to the mission.
Nightwalker on 23/7/2003 at 02:44
As far as I can tell, they're no frobbable so they must just be "eye candy" as you said. :)

Hallo, Fraulein Nightwalker! Actually, I am woefully lacking in this mission. Maybe you can help.
Ok, in the attic, there is a non-frobbable gold pot behind the chimney, and either a wadded-up scroll or a great huge gemstone next to the desk, also unfrobbable. Yet I am 200++ short on loot. I have the elixer, blah blah. But short of loot. Found the coins in the fountain, got all the obvious loot downstairs. I HATE hidden required loot. Ugh.
Also, and this has been asked before: 3 secrets? I count 2. Maybe I'll review the postings...
d'oh!!! I reviewed the postings, and found my answers. Egad, feel ashamed, Talon. Wasting miss Nightwalker's time like that. :tsktsk: Anyway, I am still short of loot, but I'll persevere. Evening all.
