Are you talking of Scrooge's fix, Biker? Have we confirmed that works for anyone but him and the one other person in that thread?

Bikerdude: RAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!
Sliptip: Y' know, I wouldn't mind being a beta/taste tester, and could I donate some voice acting too? I have said it before, and L' say it again, my benny impression is tops. :cheeky:
and that is not self promotion... but seriously, only one fm released by you so far and already Ashen Age is on ppls tops list, didn't you have any practice before ashen age? any maps you'd rather that no one knew about?

Oh, nothing... :erm::mad:
Say, Sliptip, maybe you could make an alternate fog (one that would work on any computer), Like how you would make the mist of a waterfall like in AA1, or gas coming up from a sewer pipe like in the countless number of fms out there (but I think Drk is a prominent user of gas out of pipes).

Lots and lots of derelict missions collecting on my hardrive I'm afraid. You'll find that with most authors though I'm sure. And hey - don't forget "Kill Factory 1 & 2! Though I think most people finished part 1 in about 4-8 minutes. Part 2 has nothing to do with part 1 - Part 3 has absolutely nothing to do with 1 & 2 either (but it's not released yet).

The closest thing I can think of would be Nameless Voice's "Hazelshade Effect", which I'm using to make water look better - But there's really no substitue for fog (so far as I know)

. . .and thanks for the offers on the voice acting! When the time comes I'll PM you both. I should be up front on this one though - I intend to be very critical of any voice work. The audio is really going to make or break this thing imho.

When do we get to see that? :cheeky:
You really set a new aesthetic bar with Ashen Age and it looks like you're going to best yourself with this project! Phenomenal screens! The textures seem so very crisp and clean, and while the scenes seem quite bright and well-lit there is still such an incredible sense of gloom. I can't wait to see it all in-game!

It's the fog he used in Hazleshade Cemetery - released some time ago - I think for the beauty contest.

Well I've been told, several times that the sound quality of my recordings are quite clean -(and so they should be after the amount of grief I went though to try and get a good sound for a good price). But it all boils down to my voice and wither its fits the role you have in mind.. I've done a few voices for various Fm's, my most recent efforts were the voices of the gold team in the hammerite imperium (folder containing the gold sounds is called "lich", but no sound leveling was done by the HI team on the wavs unfortunately) - tell me what u think...

Here's a link to (
http://downloads.ttlg.com/download.aspx?id=736) Hazelshade Cemetary. It was indeed a beauty contest entry, so it is not a 'playable' FM. It is definitely worth having a look at for the fog effect. It's pretty cool.
I'm anxious to see how you used that effect for water. That should look really nice!
