I've scoured my hard drive for any remnants of the Purple Crayon mission screenshots or textures and have come up empty.

Poo! :( You've mentioned that one before and it's always had me intrigued.
The setting in FPT isn't a dream sequence but there is a real world to get back to. I'm proud to say there's an actual story - you're not just plopped in cartoon land without explaination.
