Bro, it's hardly rocket science. Many PC gamers have also owned consoles (eg particularly 6th gen era ones like PS2) in the past and enjoyed exclusives that those platforms had to offer. Now they're porting traditionally console genre games on PC (eg Extreme Combat games and fighting games) because:- A. the audience is there. B. AAA games are so expensive these days, they can't afford to ignore certain platforms, unless they're largely uneconomical to accommodate like Wii U.

You can make a shit load of easy cash over the long term on PC digital distribution. Even Japanese publishers like Capcom, Namco Bandai and Square Enix have woken up to this fact. I wouldn't be surprised if the recent Castlevania: Lords of Shadow PC port has already made its budget back and then some for Konami.

I'm sorry my existence offends you so much. Any reason I seem to be the target of the day for your bitching? The usual suspects boring you recently?

I'm assuming you don't read Tom Clancy, judging by your disdain and typical drive-by review. I'll agree with you on the point of his brand, there are a lot of titles with his name on them that are exactly as you describe.... his enfranchised titles written by other people.

I happen to have grown up reading Tom Clancy since I was 12 and over the years I have come to love and care about the characters, like you would in any other GOOD serial fiction. It's the character drama that brings me back, because I love them like I love Harry Ron and Hermione.

Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit is a typical action spy movie just using the names of the TC universe because it will sell. I'm upset with itbecause it has been years since we had a half decent Tom Clancy movie, and I've lost faith that we ever will. Anybody who actually reads his books can see it's going to be an awful movie.

I know that doesn't mean shit for The Division, but I am still looking forward to it.

Judging from his description, it's probably coming from someone who has actually read Tom Clancy. They're a good pulpy action read but aside from a few select books (which are better known for a good reason) most of what he writes falls into that category.
