This is more of a personal question rather than a technical one. I've started a similar thread to this one before, but I couldn't find it/remember the answers:
Over the course of playing/replaying the previous Thief games, I've looked up walkthroughs. Only when I was really, honestly stuck, never before. Later, I found secrets through sites such as Azal's Strange and Unusual, which I read for fun. Now, I feel kind of guilty for doing so, as if I've cheated myself out of gameplay.
The worst part is that I needed a full walkthrough for the final level of Thief 2. In retrospect, most of these puzzles were easy, and I feel that I've cheated myself. It's so bad, I can't even get myself to replay any of the games, or re-listen to the music.
My question is, did anyone else use walkthroughs? If so, does it feel fair for you to replay the games, knowing some of the secrets weren't really found by you?
I started asking myself this question since I didn't like Thief 4's focus ability, yet now I feel I've used a similar "cheating" method. Just wanted to know what other taffers had to say.

I make it a habbit not to spoiler me any game I'm about to play, so I only revert to using a walkthrough if I'm stuck somewhere that much, that it's impossible to continue... and even then I just read the particular part I need and nothing more.
In Thief DS for example I only used the second time around a walkthrough because I didn't know what exactly the cornerstones were supposed to be or to look like. The first time I played it, I thought they were supposed to look like the pagan symbol where you read Diane's letter, right on the wall and glowing green and I got frustrated, that I couldn't find them anywhere. So when I replayed the game, I wanted to know. :D
But even then I just read up how they were supposed to look like and not where they are... I searched for them myself then. ;)
