@Unna Oertdottir: Oops :cheeky: I know what I said, I'm just pretty sure it happened on original textures too, but now when I change the textures to original ones they seem to work just fine.
I'll try the dds conversion in a bit. Also, thanks GORT but that did not do the trick either!

Would you be willing to zip up the cow and custom textures? I'd be happy to try it out on my pc.
Niborius on 4/2/2016 at 19:14
@john9818a: Sure! That would be greatly appreciated. I'll send you the files by PM. You'll be missing some custom models but that shouldn't cause a problem right?
john9818a on 5/2/2016 at 01:22
No the missing objects shouldn't have any effect on the terrain textures. :) Just so everyone knows, the textures loaded fine on my pc so it must be something specific with your pc or Thief installation.

I did everything you suggested in your PM, installing all NewDark 1.23 requirements like the DirectX Package, I updated my video driver, changed the textures from 24 bit to 32 bit, but all to no avail. I'm guessing there is some service or application running in the background that is causing this.
Edit: NEW DISCOVERY: Changing the textures from 512x512 to 256x256 gets rid of the issue for the edited texture. I'm going to look around some more to see what is causing it but if I cannot find a solution I'll just have to lower the res of the textures (which isn't THAT bad).
Edit2: UGH one of the textures was already 256x256 but was also having the same issue. I guess I'm just going to have to edit in Full Bright mode.

May I take a look as well? I also have a notebook for DromEd.

Sure, I've sent you a PM with the files. Thank you in advance!

That spot doesn't look like the screenshot on my notebook.
Anyway, the lights are not good.
You'll want objectcast lighting instead of quick lighting.
There are very bright brush lights near that place. Brush lights doesn't have a radius.
Niborius on 5/2/2016 at 17:01
It's on quick lightning because I mostly leave it at that setting during developing for quicker portalizing. I tried all modes but the problem persists.
Those light brushes are there so that I can work in non full-bright mode to distinguish the white walls from each others and see corners.

Just a shot in the dark:
is 3D-vision enabled in your video card driver?
