If we all do a playthrough, should we just keep the comments in this thread, or start a new one?
If we keep it here, everything is kept in a neat package why we're doing it now. And I changed the title to cue people to it. If someone has a good case to start a new one, or it doesn't work, we still could & maybe get a mod to move the posts. But I don't know how many people are going to do it and we have a fine thread here already.
I never played as Nosferatu so not sure what it's like. My first playthrough was a male Tremere, which I liked, and the magic came in handy, although they apparently had low charisma & weren't very popular. Now I'm thinking about the female Ventrue because the model looks cool. I mean I started a game with one two months ago or so but didn't actually get on with it after the first level. So I can continue that.

Nosferatu is pretty cool if you're not a pussy that uses sewers. The range for the civilians noticing you are nosferatu is generous (tiny), and adds a new facet of avoidance to the game (besides what already was there in the blood ambushes).

Call me boring, but I have played as Nosferatu, Malkavian, and Bruja. I always replay the game as a Bruja (though I have fond memories of the former 2), the brawling in the early stages is excellent. I think a lot of us here will end up with a Nossie or Malk if we use the question-based character generation.

Am I the only one to solidly prefer Toreador? Celerity (and some skills to taste) is enough to get through the various combat challenges, and from there it's mostly social skills for me.

Yeah I prefer Tores too.

Neat, been a while since I last played Bloodlines.

Since I am almost wrapped with Thief 2 and it put me in a spooky mood, I am mildly considering joining the group playthrough; if it's happening. Otherwise god knows I have shitton of games on my backlog and knowing my love for Bloodlines it may be best not to get sucked into it right now :p

After seeing some comments about playing as a Nosferatu, I rerolled and picked a Ventrue instead. Making my way through the Santa Monica area, so far the game seems like more of an investigation or adventure game, with minimal combat. Not that that's a bad thing, the people and places are interesting, and the story is just starting to pique my interest. The one thing that seems frustrating so far is that just about every location has a PC with a password, and so far I haven't found many books or notes or whatever cluing me into the passwords needed. But it's still early.
Some of the voice actors sound really familiar too, seems like I've heard them before in other games. I could have swore I heard a voice that sounded exactly like Adam Jensen from DXHR.
Here's the only "completed" things I've done so far:
Located Mercurio.
Killed the drug dealers, got the Astrolite (never found the money though).
Killed the Prosthetic guy and released the bounty hunter.

Malk was my first char (random quiz) which I felt actually was better *because* I had no idea what the story or what Malks were about.
At least the last time I played it Malkavians were the guys who saw most things in the world. Together with theirs skills they were almost disproportionately strong. Still don't feel like I cheated, though.

I think that's intentional, it makes investing in Hacking worthwhile.
