Sloppy game. Sloppy game design.

The item had next to no value, so it wasn't any good for an infinite money loop, but given how sloppy the rest of the game was...

As for Bloodlines....are there seriously people out there who are going to argue that Bloodlines wasn't a sloppy game?
Well, at least we know what's on Phatose's word-of-the-day calendar today.

Game? I see people use that word around here all the time.

LOL.
Pass this one (Redemption) by, unless you are super curious. It just felt low budget and 'off' to me.

The community took that game and have patched it till the cows come home, and made it MUCH better.

I don't think that was the point. The thing was 1/2 broken when released, and required the dedication of an entire community (ZylonBane included) to get it to be somewhat near what they wanted to ship. Unacceptable for a $50 game. Any other game without the WoD or somesuch behind it would have fallen off of the face of the earth and been forgotten.

That seems to be the issue with all Troika games. Before I installed Arcanum, I had to go down a laundry list of fanmade patches to apparently get it up to playable standards.
Wonder if the fan community the same for Temple of Elemental Evil. I remember loving the first few hours of that game, but couldn't play once I got to the eponymous temple because of constant crashes and the framerate plummeting down to negative levels.
So on to the topic at hand, Vampire Redemption isn't that horrible of a game. Simple, yeah. And nowhere near as good as Bloodlines, but still a decent game if you want an atmospheric Diablo style hack 'n slash. Shame the one feature that made the game, the Storyteller mode, didn't get nearly as much attention as it deserved.

But Vampire Redemption isn't a Troika game. Although I would also put it into the category of gaming diamonds in the rough with all the Troika-developed games.

I was talking about Bloodlines up above.
