Hello all,
I know this has nothing todo with thief but if you like the stealth genre games you should take a look at Velvet Assasin

Its a girl dealing with the german foos in WWII.
I'm playing currently and enjoying it very much.

Assassin's Creed is kind of stealthy. Until you lose your patience and murder everyone in sight, that is. The annoying beggers come first.
Some people do the same in Thief, so that shouldn't be a problem. I was bored:

Hello taffers, i wanted to share the moments while playing Velvet assassin. Its a reccomended game for everyone here, some of you may know it allready. It sure did give me the same basic feelings when playing thief, the creepy noises, dark enviroment, nice ambient music. Lots of sneaking etc. i have completed the game, any other taffer that wants to share?
BTW: This is the closest a game gets near thief, its nowhere like thief but its in the right direction

I read that the ennemies can be aware of you because of your shadow.
Is that implemented in the game? Does it work well?

Kubilay17 : Exactly my feeling to, thats why i proposed this game on the forum.
Gambit : As far as i experienced, the shadow is not detectable.
In my pesonal view VA is the closest to Thief play i experienced until now, and after this the Splinter Cell series.
Maybe the last mission is a bit disappointing, to much shooting necessary IMO.

This game is mostly trying to imitate the Hitman series, and fails to do so. I summed up my experience with it (

can't recommend it to anyone who is expecting a solid stealth game.
