Looks pretty cool.

From what I've read in a preview in a local gaming magazine around here, it kind of put off my anticipation of this game. Like enemies having that purple-ish aura when you're concealed from them and other stuff. I didn't like what I read. Then again maybe it was a preview to a beta or something. Meh. I'm still skeptic about how good this game will be gameplay wise. Of course it will have it's own fans.

looks like wolfenstein judging from the use of bloom. ughh. but nothing of real substance is out (like walkthrough/extended gameplay trailers) therefore I hope it's gonna be at least as bad/good as SplinterCell. and that there won't be any shower-scene for the puberty crowd.

From what I can tell, my decision to purchase this will hinge largely on the inclusion of a shower scene.
Someone should make a game that combines WWII, Stealth, and Comedy. Anyone know if the Hogan's Heroes license is available?

I don't understand why stealth isn't more popular.

...and most of the popular Stealth franchises have all turned into action games, just look at MGS4 and Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Maybe most people don't like spending hours sitting in the dark

Also Peter Chung is producing a prequel graphic novel. This guy has done pretty much nothing original Aeon Flux, everything has been commissioned work. Pity really, Aeon Flux showed that he had a good mind for surrealism/batshit crazy fiction.

SouthPeak Games announced today that it has partnered with world-famous animation artist Peter Chung to create all-new, original work based on the upcoming stealth-action game Velvet Assassin. Chung is best known as the creator and director of Aeon Flux, and has worked on a number of animation projects, including The Animatrix and The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury. The 15+ page digital graphic novel will be available as an exclusive, limited-quantity bonus item to those who purchase the game at GameStop.
Chung will be working with the Velvet Assassin team to contribute to the remarkable story of Violette Summer. His work can be seen in a graphic novel that focuses on Violette's early years and tells the story of how she became an undercover part of the war effort.
Velvet Assassin provides an intense stealth action experience set deep in Nazi territory during World War 2. With its strong basis on real historical events, Velvet Assassin's rich universe easily lends itself to additional back stories like Chung's. Players will be able to get their hands on both the digital graphic novel and the game later this year.

You know, the more I hear about this game the more I don't like it. :( Shame, I was crossing fingers for a new stealth IP. This sounds more like a WW2 era 'Stolen'. :(
