I never had any trouble running it on Vista but many do, this one is supposed to work.

And dear god, who in their right mind would give Deadly Shadows a higher score than TDP and TTMA.

No Fragony, nothing has been done to make these games run, I bought the Complete Collection for £5.99, and for system requirements it says xp/vista but it's just the old versions repackaged. If you look on Amazon at the comments for these products there are lots of complaints about these games not running.
You still need the community made fixes.

I feel quire strongly on this, in that I hope that Thief 4 offers access to all files and has a fully featured editor.
Because Eidos and Square Enix are making money of these and the only way that they can work is because of people here.
To reap the benefits of guys like Timeslip, Si02 and weakling and then screw us all over with a product that it won't be possible to mod would be a right kicker.

Maybe because it works on XP without patches,mods and extra software?

Well despite being better than most stealth-games it's still utter shit compared to Thief 1 and to a lesser extend two. It's just soulless. Cradle was awesome, that is why it stood out in mediocracy. With Deadly Shadows they tried to make a Thief-game, when they tried to make Thief they made Thief.

It says "DRM Free", so it's probably all right, but some direct downloads of Thief in the past have been crippled so that they can't be modded or play FMs at all.

I think that's only the ones from EBGames, though.
