What did you think of the voice acting in the game? I thought it was pretty good, but there were some lines that seemed misplaced. For instance, when Sandra Renton leaves the 'Ton, Mr. Renton says, "Oh Sandra, oh oh Sandra" when you try to talk to him. Did anyone else feel that this line was really poor? I wish they would give the voice actors the context in which they are saying things. I realize that the voice acting is not the final thing done in a game, and thus, changes are made, but c'mon, there were a lot of lines in the game that were said that seemed to have a total lack of feel for what was going on.

Off of that topic, my favorite voice was Simons. I loved it when he politely/rudely (wow, didn't know you could achieve both at once) told off JC in the break room.

I don't know if there were any voices that I thought were poor. The Paris people weren't all that great, but they weren't too bad, either. The game generally had good quality voice acting. Most of the time, JC's voice was emotional, but at a few points it got a little flat. What do you think?

:) As thune is sure to agree, Sally the subway hooker has a lovely voice.

The one that really jarred was the overdone limey accent of what's-her-face, the scientist in the ocean lab, "It's important to X51 that I keep my position heaah."

In general, though, the voice acting was quite good.

I thought most of the voice acting sucked. Especially the fake Chinese and French accent ones. But it was no worse than the average game. No Jill-sandwiches or anything.(Resident Evil fans will get that). I quite liked Denton's voice though even though many reviewers bashed it.

I'm aware that the voice actors had Chinese names but they probably don't really speak Chinese! Those accents were too bad to be real. Also Tong's voice wasn't done by a Chinese person if I remember correctly. The French accents annoyed me alot more though.

hahahaha! that was, in a word, superb! :D

Anyway, in all seriousness, most of the acting was crap. I mean the good thing was that they got the decent actors to play the main roles: Page (who is the only one I would single out who did a pretty damn good job), Simons, Paul, Everett, Tong, Savage, Jaime, Alex, Manderley and Carter were all fairly good. But some of the minor characters (especially barmen) in Hong Kong were absolutely appalling. That.. girl that Paz mentioned - I think we all agree that must have been a piss-take. The homeless bums were pretty dire too, as was Hermann. Navarre was okay.

If I'm not mistaken, the minor characters were also voiced by some of the "good" actors though weren't they?
