This made me think of something: It would have been better if people spoke Chinese or French out loud, but the subtitles were in English, translated instantly by some fancy aug. It would have made the game that much more authentic.
But then, what about J.C. talking back to them... perhaps the same thing?

Well, IMO the voice acting was inconsistent, but good overall.
JCs voice was dead on however.
"You´ve got 10 seconds to beat before I add you to the list of NSF casualties"
I rest my case. ;)
Btw. does anybody else think that JC sounds a lot like The Nameless One from Planescape: Torment?
If I ever get around to it, Í´ll check which actor played him, but right now Im to lazy :p

He sounds a bit like him but it's not the same guy, I'm sure. Nameless One in PS:T was voiced by the main character from the TV show "The Pretender" (Michael somebody; that was a good show, btw).
PS:T had some of the best voice acting ever. Dak'kon was voiced by Mitch Pileggi who plays Skinner on the X Files, Annah was voiced by Sheena Easton, Morte and Nordom both were voiced by Dan Castellenata (who is the voice of Homer Simpson!), and Trias was voiced by John Delancie, Q from ST:TNG.

I always thought that Bob Page sounded like John DeLancie (aka Q)...

I second (third, fourth, whatever) this. He definitely sounds hysterical and very DeLancie-like towards the end.

The "voice actor" who played JC Denton (and Paul) is none other than Jay Franke, one of the QA leads for Deus Ex.
If you want to see what he looks like, go to (

Select "Biz" then "ION People" then QA. The link's down right now but his pic is normally there.
Bob Page and Ford Schick were done by Cliff Stephens.
