Void is a new service offering full games for free, you 'pay' by watching adverts during the game startup.
It's currently launched in Scandinavia and USA, thought it might be of interest to some of you. :)

Are you sure it's available in Scandinavia already? Do you need to sign up for a gamersgate account to access it? I'd like to know what games they offer before I sign up for anything.

Yes, it was launched yesterday and in Scandinavia before USA (I think Gamersgate is a Swedish company), i haven't had the time to test it myself but they are supposed to have 100 titles available for download, 'Risen' being one of them.
I don't mind adverts that much and since you only get ads before the game starts this seems quite interesting. :)
I think they limit the number of users currently though to prevent overloading their servers so there's a que to get in.

Risen for free? Don't mind if I do. Sadly, it's the only game they have on Void that I want to play so far.

It works for me although the GamersGate Void installer crashed twice and the embedded banner ads didn't show. Launching the game shows fullscreen videos, one was for Blizzard Warcraft and another game. No ads during gameplay and no time outs.
Void game slot is for 2 weeks, you can extend the time by buying blue coins. 1,000 blue coins per each day = $1.00. Additional game slot is 10,000 blue coins = $10.
The available selection of games could be a whole lot better. I had trouble finding something decent to play. :erg:
I'm having fun with Capcoms Flock!, roundin' up them doggies for interstellar shipment. Careful with the cows, don't push 'em to hard or they goes berserk and stampedes! :p
