There's only 1 area in the current build, but it's a lot of fun to fly around in and try to find good lines. A very zen experience. Even though things like the playermodel and the menus are placeholder, the things that really matter, namely the aerodynamics physics, are very refined already. Once you've gotten up a lot of speed in one direction it can be hard to turn around. A lot of precision is required so you don't just flip over and end up spinning right into the ground. Gamepad is a must, natch. I even dusted off the Oculus Rift and tried out the recently added VR support and it's quite an experience to soar down the mountain in first person view. Exhilarating and terrifying, I flinch every time I smash into the mountainside. :)

It was watching those real wing suit guys that really broke a lot of little childhood fantasies for me. It seems obvious in retrospect, but after enough blue screen efforts in kids shows and movies or whatever seeming fairly blasé about the whole danger aspect in flying and gliding with some power or suit, you forget certain things. Watching those real guys you remember "Oh yeas, you're going very fast towards the ground face first and you can't really stop."
This looks like a fun way to make a few new fantasies about ever being able to do this for real.
