It looks like the T1/2 source code is gone forever, so lets try to stop that happening again.
I also made a thread about this on the Eidos forum, so if you could add your voice there too it would have MAXIMUM IMPACT!

Oh, this is debatable... lose the source code or not.
I say leave it up to the developers. If they are bound and determined to lose the source code there is nothing -- short of active revolution! -- that will stop them.
...Of course you could try and setup some sort of online petition to voice your strong and controversial opinion that the source code should not be lost.
You know what else? While you are setting up yet another useless goddamned petition, can you set one up to harangue the developers about not going out of business this time? Let them know how strongly we feel about these decisions they make! You tell 'em!
For all of us!
And also...

I think it just doesn't want to be found.

And what makes you think they'd want to intentionally lose it?
Bakerman on 8/12/2009 at 13:07
Sure, I'll sign... I don't see the purpose though. It's not really the sort of thing that needs a petition of vote. Although I guess that's what they thought the first time around...

It's hiding in the shadows. Just waiting for you to turn your back. And then...
While we're at it, how about a petition to intentionally lose the source code to Thief 3?

What's the point for Eidos to release the source code and let the hardcore community make some astonishing things with it, when there is Thief 4 on the horizon? Even if they find it, the only way they will release it is after Thief 4 is done.
Though, most likely it's just lost and gone forever. If someone finds it, I'll be as much shocked as if Michael Jackson comes alive and dances in my house.

From that guy's post I don't think he actually thinks.
