I expect some people might be aware of the joint (
http://community.eidosmontreal.com/blog/Thief-Modding-Contest) Square Enix/Amazon mod contest which has now closed.
Today Nickie discovered a late entry from our very own Hipbreaker, author of such classics as Retaliation, Silent Nightmares, Alliance, Insurrection, Eclipsed and Resonance and, of course, the soon-to-be-released (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142515) Breaking the Stone.
Hipbreaker's video was put up late, it seems, so he's a bit behind in the voting but his mission is fantastic and deserves to win. :) You'll all find that out very soon for yourselves! Nickie and I both wanted to make sure you were aware of the contest and his entry so you get to support one of our own. So go (
http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html/?docId=1001928521) vote for Jeremy C!

i tryed to vote but it wanted me to sign in to amazon and give password=never trust a link that ask for a sites password where you spend money
not that i dont trust the people on ttlg, but if something does go wrong people right away would say why did you put in your password lol
no offence to the jc,i wish i could vote ,but to force someone to use a personal password is not smart, nor is the person who set up voting to ask those personal things

Nothing comes from this, downwinder, you don't get any emails from Amazon or anyone else. All you do is put in an email address and any old password. It doesn't have to be a real password.

@downwinder - It's just asking you to sign into Amazon - a site most people would consider fairly trustworthy. If you didn't sign in, then anyone could vote as many times as they want, and I'm guessing they want to limit it to one vote per customer.
If you're OK signing into Amazon like you normally would when you buy something on their site, don't worry about it too much. It's normal.
Edit: Oh, maybe nickie's right, I assumed they wanted your Amazon sign in. (shrug)
Double Edit: Well, I signed out, and then went back to the page, and they wanted me to sign in to Amazon. So it appears you do need your real password for the site.

Just voted. He is now in second place. If everyone who reads this thread voted, he'd win. So if you want him to win, cast your vote now. :D

Yes, it's just Amazon. I guarantee that the link takes you to the legitimate site. You can sign up for an Amazon account very safely. I've used it for years and ordered plenty of stuff without any problems.

FYI, we don't know for sure yet if the fan votes will decide the winner, or if judges have a say in it too. The whole process is still a little unclear at this point.
(But, that doesn't mean you shouldn't vote. So go do it).
I'm guessing too that the mod listed as being from "Gelo F" is Gelo Fleisher aka Moonbo, author the the TDM mission "Requiem."

@ Brethren. Yes, you have to sign in to Amazon but you can create an account there without receiving any emails back from Amazon. I just created one for our lodger so he could vote but I just typed in a few random letters for a password.

Any other entrants from these forums are more than welcome to create a thread to solicit votes as well. We don't want to be unfair to anyone.
