Bandit,
...but that was exactly my point. Who would these characters be?
And let me get one thing straight, I would love a coop Deus Ex, god i would love a coop of any decent FPS. But i would still need to be immersed in the game, wouldn't u?
All it would need is to have a second Augmented agent trying out on his first mission for UNATCO (**SPOILER**)Maybe Alex Denton? (and then just change him at the end to someone else). Now i would like that!

I just wrote a big reply but when i went to post it, it screwed up damit! So i'll give you the short version.
I would like the idea of coop, not just in Deus Ex, but any good FPS. I too hate Deathmatch, (the reason i bought UT over Q3- i love assualt and domination).
With the coop you would still need to have a storyline with good characters to immerse the player. So i thought and came up with this. Forget of JC all together. UNATCO have just recieved two new augmented agents from the "manufactora" and each player plays one of these characters, (this can also work with more players, just add more agents). And instead of playing through the UNATCO vs NSF storyline, there could just be a series of different missions with which the players team up together and fight through.
But if you really wanted to play through with the storyline then you could have JC and maybe **SPOILER** Alex as the two characters. It could work well and still immerse the player/s.

Hit refresh after the poster thingy sends you back to the original thread. If that doesn't work hit ctrl-shift and refresh. If that doesn't work then your posts are all being sent to the TTLG limbo room. I'm afraid you're fucked.

The last post i read was
Maximus,
You're thinking too deep into this. Think OUTSIDE the box man. You said that it's pointless for them to add Co-op for a game like this. O.k., maybe for you, but not to the rest of us. You could still play the game regularly, by yourself, through the single player game.....that's what we all did in SS2. But if you wanted to play with a buddy for fun, then the both of you could go through the game together and build your characters differently....just like we did in SS2. It's not pointless. It's just not your taste. Just as Death Matching isn't my taste. I can't stand Death Matching Multiplay....I prefer team CTF like TFC. But I don't say it's pointless for them to add DM Multiplay.
Besides the point above, nothing would be lost by playing with your friends through this game. The story would be exactly the same. The story would revolve around J.C. and the only thing that would be different is the fact that he now has help from some friends/sidekicks.
I would very much appreciate it, if someone could copy and paste the replys after this one into a .txt file and send it to me at warlord@hard.net.au. Thanks alot!
