No. I was hating WoW for its shittiness and Blizzard's inability to stop fucking with (and breaking) every little thing every content patch.
In fact, a while back I put a rather large post about why FFXI is the only MMORPG I like.
My experience in FFXI was hardly traumatic back in '04. I just thought I wanted something else at the time; I switched to WoW, and I realized I didn't after a few years. FFXI suits me fine now. The design of the game is such that it can't push everything else out just to make more time to play it, unlike WoW.

Are you going to give WAR a try? Given that it's been hailed as have the good WoW bits without the bad and with extra goodies?

I might. Not really sure. I like FFXI because the design of the game prevents my poor impulse control from causing me to play several hours daily. I'm pretty much restricted to playing it only when I can get friends together to play it. So it doesn't push everything else out. WoW did push everything else out because you can do a lot by yourself.
