Hey everyone,
Yesterday I was working on my mission, saved my work and all. Today, when I reload the .mis file, a message appears in the monolog :
"WARNING: mission was saved in 'suspended' Sim state, entering game mode will only resume sim, not start it"
I didn't do anything special, not that I'm aware of, and now the game doesn't spawn me on the starting point when I go ingame, it spawns me straight where I last saved it.
It looks like I paused the game, and whenever I try to go back ingame it just resumes where I left. I've tried for an hour to find a command to reset/remove this thing, or to find any info about it, to no avail.
Other than that, everything seems to work as usual, I can add stuff and edit the mission like normal. I'm on version 1.24, and I never had such an issue before.
Does anyone know the solution ? If I'm stuck, I still have a backup file from 2 days ago which works fine, but it's a real pain if I have to redo everything I've done yesterday.

Is there a concrete object named "Player" in the mission?

Yes, I didn't even notice it. What the hell ?
I deleted it, saved the mission and reloaded it. Now the game does spawn me on the starting point, but I still have this message in monolog.

This error appears when a mis is saved after using the set game_mode_backup 0 command. I was able to replicate the error by using the following steps:
1 - Open Dromed & mis file
2 - Type set game_mode_backup 0 command in the command box
3 - Enter game mode
4 - Exit back to game mode
5 - Save mis file
6 - Close Dromed & Reload Dromed <- might not be necessary
7 - Reload mis file

I really don't understand how it happened, I didn't do anything special really.
I'll try to type set game_mode_backup 1 and see what happens.
Edit : nope, doesn't seem to change anything.
Is there a way to set game_mode_backup 0 through the menu or a hotkey ? because I know I didn't type it in the command box, so unless it's a random glitch I must have set it by accident.
I think I'll just reload my backup save from 2 days ago and redo everything then, bloody hell...

Can you make a multibrush from the changes in this save and add it to the backup?

They are mostly tweaks and edits, so it's gonna be tough.

Do you have it in a custom menu, or bound to a keypress?
Either way you should get a warning the first time you save after using that command.

Don't think so, and I tried looking for it in the menu, couldn't find anything.
I didn't have a single warning when I saved, just this afternoon when I reloaded the mission.

Strange, there's supposed to be a message warning you not to save after the sim has been run.
This kind of thing is why a lot of people consider it good practice to save to a different file each time you save in DromEd.
I don't think it's even possible to fully "repair" a mission that's been put in that state.
Probably too late now, but if you come across an issues like this, remember about the backup files.
p_portal.cow is the backup from the last time you portalised.
Backup.mis is the backup of the last .mis file that you saved over.
My menus/bindings also create done.mis after a full processing, IIRC.
