Yeesh, those screenshots just sapped any enthusiasm the concept art may have given me.

Same, I'm afraid to say. Some of that concept art had me hoping the game would try to rely on its setting to achieve some sort of perverse, deceptive contrast at one level or another, but those screens... mm, don't think they quite fit the bill.

Given that it's on the Wii and the Wii is basically made of last-gen hardware, I'm giving it a bit of a pass until I see some gameplay footage.

Wow. I get the NYTimes e-version emailed to me every morning, and it always has a quote at the top from one of the stories. And the quote for today was:
Quote:
"Mickey is never going to be evil or go around killing people."
WARREN SPECTOR, the creative director of Junction Point, a Disney-owned game developer that is overhauling the image of Mickey Mouse.
I sometimes forget that the rest of the square world sometimes cares about this stuff, I guess, and that it's worth an article in the NYTimes...
The whole story is mostly about rebranding Mickey and not very much about the game itself, though.

After the most amazing artwork ever they come with this :(

Hopefully it's a success so Spector will get his shot at making Deus Ex X.
We need more Ghost in the Shell-ish games.
june gloom on 10/11/2009 at 21:49
You mean games that are terminally boring and loaded with misguided attempts at being "deep?"
Jashin on 10/11/2009 at 21:55
If you can't see depth that's your problem, not its problem.
And you got a lot of problems.

You're the one still playing Starcraft. You don't get to judge.
Jashin on 10/11/2009 at 22:17
Oh yeah, that makes sense!!!
You be sure to let me know all about it :bored:
