hmm, I could never have figured out that talisman secret on my own. I guess I'm pretty retarded.

Hi Khad! Welcome to TTLG and don't mind us. We are old, bitter and burned out. :D

So, uh, I was active here in 2004-2005, though I'm sure no one remembers me, and swing through to read threads once a year or so since, but now I'm a goon and mentioned this thread in the something awful one, which is why the man himself showed up. Hope I didn't ruin the fun.

Hi Khad,
personally i'm hoping that you will succeed in completing the game, because you'll inevitably will love it then;)

Oh hey Khad.
I hope I may still call you a noob or a kacknoob (translation for 100% pure americans: "really crappy noob") after having been frustrated to watch you stumble aimlessly around for another 20 minutes. :)
Questions:
- Why do you never check the map and your compass?
I know that the map doesn't show up on fraps, but just looking at the menu doesn't break the video stream. As far as I see, looking at "unrecordable" stuff like scrolls and the menu only just freezes the video stream to a screenshot-alike thing while your voice is still being recorded.
- Do you watch the intro movies before each mission?
For instance, you'd learn before Bafford's Manor that the lord keeps that scepter in his private quarters, far from the servants - that's quite a clue where the thing was being hidden. Or, another instance, before the Bonehoard, you were told that there would be zombies - and so you bought some useless shit instead of more water arrows and more holy water?! The Cragscleft map should also point out the path from cell block #1 to the barracks, unless that was an item you had to buy on the loadout screen.
- Don't you think that the LP would be faster and better done if you just let ADD or Crosby play while you sit in the punishment crate?
- Are you looking forward to the more linear noobfriendly missions from Thief 3? Ones in particular that will have you to just follow some glowing footprints on the floor? Ones that lock doors behind you so that not even people like you could get lost?
- Do you really think that the training mission of Thief 1 was something like an exam for the Thieves Guild? Speaking of which, did you miss the part where he said that he actually left these people shortly after that mission?
- Do you realize that you can customize the keybindings, eliminating the need to complain about the default keybindings in every episode?
- Did you find the bow upgrade in the Alarus extension at last?
:p
oh, and:
- Are there any sort of games that you like a lot so that we could have a go at butchering them in LPs?
And post more pictures of ADD.
And tell your buddies at SA that if they really think that every forum in the internet has those funky rating buttons camouflaging as page numbers, and the page numbers hidden away below some ads, which you'd normally expect at the bottom of the page, then they have been hiding away in their little hideyhole of the internet for too long. Thanks. :)
All that aside, keep them coming. Watching these videos is like picking scabs. You just can't stop doing it. :p

T: DS missions are not more linear than those in the earlier Thief games. In fact none apart from the T-U-T-O-R-I-A-L in T: DS is anywhere near as linear as 'Maw of Chaos', 'Trail of Blood' and even 'Strange Bedfellows'. They are just smaller. But hey, people here still complain about 'Thieves Guild' being too big.

I think you did for some people, but I don't mind that one bit, because that are the comments that are quite useless in this thread anyway.
But yes, welcome Khad! Hope you post some more in here and don't mind us. As Melan says, we are complete and utter assholes but that doesn't stop us from loving your vids.
