Heh. It is the same for me at times. But then I get some confidence, explore and after a few minutes die stupidly and it happens many times over till my nerves are broken and I am a step closer of throwing my PC out of the window... of the ground floor.

I recently started an iron man run, only saving to avoid the odd crash (which seems to happen more often than previously on my PC). Made it as far as The Haunted Cathedral without a single death, although I had to kill a lot of AI to get out of tricky situations. It is a nerve-wracking experience even knowing the levels and common engine tricks.

Holy sh*t that's awesome dude. I am gonna do that myself then. I haven't replayed TG more than once I think (yeah, not much of a replay guy...=/), so this should indeed be nerve wracking.
Did you at least try to ghost the levels? Or you Blackjacked everyone (oh and played on expert, aye?) and killed/ran if you got spotted?
Melan on 6/7/2010 at 11:27
It was a mixture of ghosting, blackjacking, wholesale murder (got into very bad spots in The Sword and The Guild) and running like hell to hide and wait until the AI quiet down. My downfall was near the end of THC - took a lot of damage from burrick gas and used up all my potions, then thought I could kill the apparition patrolling before the cathedral entrance without it lobbing its skull-missiles at me. :p I played on Hard since you can't kill AI on Expert. I am sure a lot of people have done Expert before, but I just wanted to have fun, not to prove something. :)

Cool. I guess I'll do it bit by bit, since I don't have that much time in a single day or two lately.
Anyway, there were some SAtards speaking that we would actually buy accounts to downrate their thread. I suppose it was a clumsy form of sarcasm, tho it's hard to tell at this point. They keep repeating how we "don't get it", but it seems like they're merely echoing themselves. Then again, it's just continuing the same circle over and over again. I believe we all think on the same thing, but express it in different manners. Ah well. Weird stuff.
I want more poo poo!

The amount of idiocy in that thread is fucking appalling, and by fucking appalling I mean just like on every other forum on the Internet. I can really see it's worth ten bucks to be a member there. That's sarcasm by the way, in case some goons still follow this thread.

Sounds like 10€ well spent.
... I'd rather waste that money on some set of costumes for GW, if I felt like wasting some money on useless stuff instead of wasting it on toys for my cats. :p
Oh wait, they're still at the "anyone who mistakes our awesome forum's rating features in a hurry for something else is a fucking retard"? Lulz. SAtards indeed. I'll stick to watching future videos of our favourite newb without the commentary in the future, btw. With sound, it's like watchin a redarded monkey on crack. Without the commentary, it's like watching an adorable, though mentally challenged toddler. :)

Slowly learning patience and a little of the game mechanics. :thumb:
Glad I'm not the only one who hates spiders. :joke:
And I thought ghosters didn't quicksave? Then again, I take the cowardly explorer option. KO everyone and loot the place.

Ok Khad, getting better...
The reason you couldn't kill that thief with 1 shot after he went back to his normal patrol, is that if you startle the AI, even if they go back to normal/rest, they'll still be on their toes for quite a while, and you won't be able to kill them in 1 shot.
Without giving away anything, I advise you to explore the last area you were in, with the thieves having that conversation. Keep going that way, lots of interesting parts coming up:thumb:
