Is that dude playing on a pad or something? His mouse seems very... jerky.

I'm somewhat ashamed to admit that I never ended up getting past Lost City. I love the game's style and love the background, but some of the levels are just... eh. Still trying to muster up the motivation to slog through the Thieves Guild and get back to where I was before reformatting.
You could just play the normal version, I somehow never managed to get into Gold either.
[Edit]And way to ruin the game for yourself by dicking around for an audience...

That was very entertaining, and a relief to realise I didn't suck this much my first time. I played on Normal difficulty, granted, but had more of an attention span and was slightly better at navigation.
Too bad he is playing Gold; I still get lost in Thieves' Guild, and I have no idea how he is going to do it if he doesn't get more attentive.

Oh, it's not just me then.

Most definately not.
The funny thing is, I believe that they used Thieves Guild as the demo for Thief Gold.

Yeah, but the demo version only has the upper parts, the house and the casino in the basement. When you frob the roulette wheel and enter into the actual guild the game ends.

You're right. Just the tavern and some streets that demo was. It made a good impression, even though it was so small; and nobody could ever imagine what a mess this mission really was.
Any updates on the progress of this newbie? I can't read the later pages in that SA thread, since I don't have an account there.
DJ Riff on 11/6/2010 at 07:22
Neither have I, but I still see all 12 pages.
Anyway,

Edit: Rendering the next video, may have it up by tomorrow morning sometime if I am lucky but don't hold your breath!
All videos are collected on the first page of that topic.

Thanks.
But  indeed. I just checked that thread, and here on Firefox on Ubuntu it allows me to look at page 2 and following. Maybe it's related to Opera which I use at home? There I always get some error page, telling me that I'd need to sign up to read the thread. It's like that with other SA threads as well. Weird. :)

SA puts a limit on the number of pages guests can view in a given time interval, which I think is around 10. Since they get a lot of their income from registrations and account upgrades (e.g. archive access and so on), they have a strong incentive to do this. They also allow users to buy other users custom titles for money, which is pure business genius. :laff:

Lytha, are you sure you clicked the right link? I've tried to click 'rate thread' buttons at first (i thought it's the page numbers).
He really struggles in bonehoard - he said that he recorded 50 minutes already and no objectives are comleted so far. Poor guy, it was just cruel to let him go there stocked with noisemaker arrows.
