C'mon, Khad is not blind. He just doesn't concentrate enough. I think the reason is that since Thief is a pretty old game and all the level geometry is pretty simple, he expects things to be in plain sight and well distinguishable.
But of course there are also those moments like: Table with a goblet and a vase -> Khad comes in and checks the table ->Khad thinks for 0.025 seconds and grabs the goblet without even considering the possibility that the golden vase could be valuable -> Khad moves on.

1. He thinks mages are harmless
2. He thinks his footsteps are always quiet when crouching
3. Marble floors in Air Tower
4. Steel floors in Fire Tower
5. ???
6. dead Khad

Add the elementals to the equation. Double the excitement _/
btw next parts are coming surprisingly quickly, I wonder what's up (apart from Khad being jobless atm)

Period of lesser laziness.
Also good part, as always. I only miss the rage sometimes.

DDFix happened. Previously he had to take a screenshot of every readable and the map and objective screens, since Fraps wouldn't record those.
I'm keeping fingers crossed for some mage-on-Khad action.

"have fun in your gay pile"
he needs to go back onto hard. not enough misery in this lp by a long way :(

The problem with Hard wasn't that it would be actually too difficult, but that in certain levels (like mage towers...) it would be too long and boring. If "Hard" meant that Khad would get owned all the time, I'd be all for it. But if it means he will probably spend an hour just walking around the place not knowing WTF to do? That will not be fun, neither for us nor for Khad.
I think mage towers turned out OK on Normal difficulty. Although I'm surprised Khad didn't take the hint, or what am I saying, not even hint but plain and simple instruction, to start with the water tower. I actually didn't remember anything about this level, but as soon as I read that note, I realised (didn't remember, but actually realised it anew).
Oh, and Koki, even though Khad has finished this level, you should put that in spoilers because it will help him in next levels. (And that's exactly not the kind of help he needs, we need him to have more trouble with dispatching enemies and less trouble with finding hidden places and items.)

I totally agree. I mean he basically said outright that
THE MAGES CAN DO HARM AND THAT THAT SOME SURFACES ARE LOUDER WHEN WALKED UPON! Not that SA forum thread "gave away" more.

The briefing before the mission said the Mages are deadly. How is that a spoiler? Most AIs can do harm, wtf?
